Yeah, this was mentioned on the Northern Irish news here this morning
BBCNews wrote:Police probe man's death on Lisbon to Dublin Aer Lingus flight
Police in the Republic of Ireland have begun an investigation after a man died on a flight to Dublin from Portugal.
A post-mortem examination is being carried out on the 25-year-old's body at Cork University Hospital.
It was reported that he bit another passenger during the two-hour Aer Lingus flight between Lisbon and Dublin on Sunday and had to be restrained.
A Portuguese woman in her 40s who was also on the flight has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
It is not clear if her arrest is linked to the man's death.
A doctor and a nurse treated the man after he became unwell and lost consciousness on the flight.
The captain declared a medical emergency and diverted the plane to Cork airport, landing shortly before 18:00 local time.
About 170 passengers and crew members were taken from the aircraft and were interviewed by police about the incident.

one theory mentioned is that the 25 year old man who ran amok, biting people was a drugs mule. This is largely due to a fellow passenger being arrested for drug offences, but who knows.
No word so far of any further biting episodes ;)

Considering the theme of this forum, members Would agree that he was dead BEFORE he bit the other passenger

Highly likely, from this update, the now-deceased biter was a drug mule:

A post-mortem examination on the body of a 24-year old Brazilian man who died on an Aer Lingus flight from Lisbon to Dublin last night has been completed.

A number of packages were recovered from the man's body during the examination.

They have been sent for forensic analysis.

That's what the general consensus of opinion here seemed to suspect, it must have been terrifying for all the passengers and crew :oh:
