We want to invite you to submit works to be considered for inclusion in this work. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2012. However, any story submitted by October 31, 2011, will receive a constructive review by one of our staff. Please submit your works to Submissions@HalffastPublishing.com . Feel free to post this anywhere you think there might be interest.
Thank you.

I'm working on a few novels, one Zombie, one survival novel and to make everyone laugh a love story.

I have a question, are you only looking for survival type of novels?

I have been re-working Day After the 4th and I'm twenty thousand or so into re-writing it. The survival novel I'm twenty or so thousand into it as well. If you want a great love story that is a cross between The Notebook and Dear John, well I'm only twenty-five thousand words from being done on that one.

I will be spreading the word and also try over at The Libary of The Living Dead, I don't know if you are on there or not but talk to those guys they have a lot of great writers that are looking to be published.

I have a short, short being published and that will be my first work to see the light of day and I would really like to get a full body of my work out there.

Thanks

If you're interested in a serial, I'm interested in pitching a zombie story.

What are your current rates?
First North American rights or FNA + republish?

PM is fine for reply.

The authors will split 25% of net based on the pecentage (calculated by word count) that their story represents of the whole.

We will want world rights, but the rights revert back to the authors once the book has been out of print for a year.

Thanks for your interest and let me know if you have any more questions.

Do you write fiction?

Any info as far as minimum and maximum word count? Are you looking for zombie survival, or just straight post apocalyptic fiction? Any specific formatting you want?

We have intentionally been vague as to size so as not to squash anyone's creativity. I think we would consider any submission between about 1k and 25k words, maybe even a little longer. We would prefer that stories be in Word, but as long as we can load them on our PC's, any format is alright.

Zombie stories are fine as long as they have a survival slant to them.

Thanks.

Isn't that what most Zombie stories are about, survival?

Is there bonus points for putting it in the Lights Out universe?

I used to write a bunch, and had stacks of notebooks full of stuff I'd conjured in pencil (not so many computers around then). I was always afraid of letting anyone read it,
though. Most of it ended up in a big pile of mush when my Dad helpfully loaded my stuff into my pickup and dropped it off at my apartment complex. We had some heavy rain before I got back in to town. *sigh*
Wouldn't it be great if all wars could be fought just by the assholes who started them?
