make flat bottomed basket out of wines/shoots. Line it with a chunk of tarp or sheet/hammock, seal it with the duct tape. make a roller stick, make bait out of fishguts, cambium, salt/water. Shawn's "walk the plank" traps could be so made, too, of course. Once you hole up in the grass-stuffed 4x4 x 8 ft dugout (no fire needed) for a week at a time in the winter, the trap becomes your waste container. Dry the waste with loose dirt, of course and empty it when you come out to melt snow/ice and boil it for drinking water. Before freezing temps, dig a 1ft deep, 2x2 ft hole, line it with a chunk of the sheet-hammock or tarp, and use hot rocks to do the melting/boiling. A layer of sand or gravel will protect the tarp from the rocks.
