Honey bees are back!

Post by Woods Walker » Wed Jun 28, 2017 11:14 pm

For years all I seen were bumble bees.

But finally there were a good number of honey bees out today which is great news for the environment. Not sure what the issue is? Maybe a parasite or pesticides or a combo of both but was glad to seem them again.

Not all news is great news. Check out the commentary under this article for some good discussion on the topic.

Welcome back bees!

I've noticed a lot more bee's in the last two weeks. I've seen them by the dozens flying low on the ground going to all the various weed flowers in the lawn. Didn't notice if they were honey bees though as it was hard to tell while at a dead run , swatting at the air while screaming like a girl....
As of now I bet you got me wrong

I am glad bees are back up north. We never had a shortage of them in my yard in NOLA or in south MS.
