Science of Survival

I am three episodes into the Science of Sirvival podcasts by Outside Magazime. They are available here https://www.outsideonline.com/2104261/outside-podcastand I discovered them on the NPROne app.

Just to be clear, I've listened to episodes on hypothermia, lightning stokes and severe dehydration. Episodes One and Three gave an excellent scientific breakdown of how the body shuts down.

I want to be clear, none of the three I've listened to were straight up how-to discussions. They sounded more more like a cross between This American Life and an REI lecture.

If you are unsure, listen to episodes one or three and then decide if you want to continue. I will.
Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home

Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home
