Cumbria floods

Post by sheddi » Fri Nov 20, 2009 1:24 pm

The Cumbria floods are all over the news media, but have any ZSers got any first- or second-hand accounts of what's going on?

Nope, but it looks a right mess doesnt it.

I was watching it last night, wondering how many people here have a boat as part of their bug out plans. :?

I was caught in the Sheffield floods a couple of years ago and stayed in a rescue centre overnight, has definately made me be a little more prepared for the worst when i travel long journeys now.

depending on weather conditions and levels of flood water, i may be going to help out with the clean up operation next week as i did in cornwall a couple of years back.

I have an inflatable tough boat in the attic looks like it's coming out tonight, I'm from north lancashire so yeah but worried about these floods. Should be ok but better to be safe.
