iZombie Review

Post by roxannelizabeth » Sun Apr 05, 2015 8:50 pm

So on a recommendation from a friend, I checked out this TV show. Knowing nothing about the show other than it’s about zombies, I had an open mind and completely no expectations.

This is not your typical zombie tv show. It’s reminiscent of the movie Warm Hearts that came out a few years ago. Not in the Love Cures Zombies sense, but in the Zombies can be Warm & Fuzzy sense.

It starts out with a girl with a perfectly happy life. One moment she’s an engaged doctor on top of her game going to a boat party, next minutes she wakes up in a body bag with an intense craving for brains. And that’s in the first ten minutes of the pilot episode.

What continues is a cute little story about a girl trying to find her place in the world. Sometimes a little dark, often quite snarky, and always erring on the side of hopeful optimism.
