MyTopo vs Google Earth

Post by PWA2600 » Wed May 25, 2011 8:20 am

All,

Just out of curiosity, which is more reliable Google Earth, or My Topo maps? I feel that the My Topo would be, but am uncertain. I bought the entire state DVD collection, and was verifying the grid coordinates that MikeM had for the camping trip, but both MT and GE were different. Any ideas?

Thanks.

All,

Just to post an update, in my opinion I would say that GE is nice, but Terrain Navigator is overall better for the activities I do. Many probably feel $100 is to much to pay for something like this, but in the long run this has saved me $$ being able to print what I want/need on a single sheet of 8 x 11-1/2 paper.

Let me know if any of you need a certain region of NYS and I will see if I can help you
