This is a thread to ask a simple question of the Chapter 003 Board and get an answer here on the forums.

How about a few FAQ to get the ball rollin':

What is the best way to get involved with ZSC:003?

Do I have to be a ZS card carrying member to get involved?

How often does ZSC:003 get together?

Anywhere in particular?

What kind of community events do we do in ZSC:003?

Well Mr. OnParade, the best way to get involved with our chapter is to simply show up to something. You may also just express an interest in showing up and will likely be dragged kicking and screaming by yours truly out to it. You can follow us here, on facebook, join our mailing list (BullOnParade, please include info on how to do that) or send a text to 905-931-6372 to be added to our text list. This is how you learn about upcoming events. Showing up and enjoying said events is usually very easy, and rearely requires much form you other than your presence and enthusiasm. SOme events will occasionally have a fee attached, but where possible we avoid those. (For example, if we are going to a movie premiere as a group, you will likley need to buy your own ticket, or if it's a public meeting, you pay for whatever food or drink you order)

No! Not at all! most of our chapter members do not actually carry a membership card. To be a member of zsc003 you just need to show up. Hoever, membership does give some beneifets. You are able to attend members only events (like zcon) you are able to vote in your chapter elections, and you have an awesome ID card you can wear when we do public events in our gear!

Chapter 3 meets every month in Niagara Falls, we also meet once every few months in Hamilton, Toronto and Belleville. We are willing to travel a bit for a meeting if someone has a group that would like to attend and doesn't want to travel to us.

Our meeting in Niagara is usually the first Friday of the month at WImpy's Diner, 7280 Lundy's Ln Niagara Falls, ON L2G 1W2, (905) 354-4444, this August (2013) we are not having a public meeting there as we are hosting a pool party at the home of one of our members. Once in a while the public meetings are cancelled if we happen to have an event that co-incides with the regular meeting date but that's rare.

I'm glad you asked Mr. OnParade! ZSC003 has participated in a wide range of events over the past, from Halloween Party/Food Drives and Toy drives, to Charity Go Kart races, Camping/Mock Bug Outs, and even acting in movies and theatre with a zombie slant. We also do Conventions, random parties, hikes, range days and any other event that comes our way that sounds fun. Recently a group of us went together to get our hunter's education courses. Next year we have a plan to go as a group to learn/refresh CPR and first aid. We've done group trips to gun shows and even carpooled to go and help out with the events of other chapters! Think of our chapter like a cross between a social club and boy scouts for adults and you'll get a great feel for us!
