Working in Louisiana this summer.

Post by Chase The hero » Tue May 07, 2013 8:41 pm

Howdy guys,

So I'm going to be working out of Natchitoches, Louisiana this summer and living in Campti. I was wondering what there was to do around there, and whether anyone is nearby and wanting to meet for coffee or a beer. I've also done my research on concealed carry in LA, but if y'all have any advice for a Texan it would be much appreciated.

I go to that area and Coushatta on business on occasions. TX ccw have full reciprocity in LA. The firearm laws in LA are more liberal than in TX. So no worries for you if you follow TX rules you will be ok. As for things to do in the area, well that is not so good. The area is rather sleepy even around the university. There is a casino in Lake Charles and of course the Indian casino near Coushatta. The fishing is great at the Toledo Bend reservoir.

Fishing is good. That and I have an uncle in Houma to go fishing in the Gulf with. As for being sleepy around the area, that's why I have the internet. Thanks for the heads up man.

Houma is about a 3 yr drive. Sabine Pass is closer for gulf fishing. If you like fishing then you are going to the right place.
