Some coffee options for BoBs, GHBs, etc.

"Brew in the Bag" (couldn't find a link at the TJ website). Makes two cups of coffee.

Instant Coffee. Have a jar, but have not tried it.

(not saying you should buy it from Amazon, but couldn't find a direct link at the TJ website)

Coffee Sticks. These are "sticks" with coffee, creamer, and sugar. "Not bad", according to a friend who has tried them.

As instant goes, the sticks are pretty good. Carry a few here and there, including my daily carry bag... Never know when you might need a caffeine jolt.

I'll have to try some, I love Trader Joe's stuff!!

Has to be an improvement over the dollar-general-no-name-generic stuff I grew up on at my family's camp... you know, the stuff that looks and tastes like dirt. But hey, it hits the spot on a frigid morning over a fire

I have the TJ coffee "sticks" sprinkled liberally in my various get home bags for my vehicles, as well as my (recreational) backpack. They are a (modest) step up from Folgers-level instant coffee packets. The TJ coffee sticks work for me because I both sweeten and cream my coffee, so the all in one idea is perfect. But I actually don't think they're the best idea in general because if you don't enjoy sweet, creamed coffee, they are of no value to you.

Having said all that, in the instant coffee world I have found nothing that comes close to Starbucks VIA instant coffee packets. Expensive, but they are simply far superior to anything else I've tried. VIA makes what I would call a legitimately decent cup of joe.

The Korean grocery near my apartment has various brands of pre-sweetened & creamed coffee sticks as well. I suspect that they're going to be cheaper than the TJs version.
