Zombie Calendar - ZS Mention

Post by HMPlatinum » Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:34 am

My SiL got a zombie trivia calendar as my Christmas gift. Movie, book, and other quotes, as well as different trivia regarding zombies and the cultures surrounding them.

June 8th had this:

ZOMBIE SQUAD

Founded in 2003 in St. Louis, MO, the Zombie Squad is an organization that uses the zombie apocalypse metaphor to get otherwise apathetic horror fans involved in community groups that prepare for and aid in the aftermath of real-world disasters. The Zombie Squad's goal is to seriously explore methods of disaster preparation while keeping the discussion fun and humorous by approaching the topic in terms of dealing with marauding undead, with the understanding that if the group's plans could provide assistance in a fictional zombie apocalypse, the same preparations would certainly be effective in an actual natural or man-made disaster scenario. http://www.zombiehunters.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Mrs. Plat said that was probably the best way she's heard it explained.
- Sent via two rabid squirrels and a large slingshot (please catch and return the squirrels...they're special)
