Are these the new BPA free models? I'm phasing out my old ones and replacing with stuff less likely to cause birth defects... I actually shot up one of my old ones yesterday...

I would prefer a basic logo version, but would that have a charity element too, or should I buy this one now if I want something to go to charity?

Looks good either way!

Yes, they are BPA free! "Made with BPA-free Eastman Tritan™ copolyester, this durable 32 oz. water bottle from Nalgene features an easy-to-use wide-mouth design and the durability and convenience you expect from Nalgene. Part of Nalgene's Everyday™ line of environmentally friendly plastic bottles designed for daily use, the Tritan Wide Mouth bottle easily accommodates ice cubes. Fits most water purifiers and filters. Its attached loop-top screws on and off easily and keeps the lid with the bottle at all times so it never gets lost. Withstands temperatures from -40°F to 212°F, you can enjoy everything from milk to steaming hot coffee in this handy bottle. Dishwasher(top rack) and microwave safe, this stain- and odor-resistant bottle also features a great impact resistance for extreme adventures, making it a great choice for backpackers and other outdoorsmen."

Nope, the next run of Nalgenes with the simple ZS logo will not be for charity and probably will not happen until summer at the earliest.

Ordered mine the other day. Will we be getting any kind of notification when it ships? I'm bad about checking my mail on a daily basis unless I know I have something coming.

We will be shipping these out between the 14th and 16th of December USPS....so keep your eyes on the mailbox after that!

Notifications will not be sent out to each person that ordered...we will note any unexpected change in shipping date here!

Thanks to all that ordered!

I can't wait for my three! :D

BTW is somebody gonna post how much we raised? When the final numbers are in?

It'd be nice to know how much we raised...

Also is there a list of charities that Z squad normally works with or is it a one at a time kind of thing?

Yup! hopefully tonight it will be up.

This is something we are compiling. It is different all the time though but we do have some repeat charities. Usually we try to find a charity involved with a recent disaster after lots of research to make sure the uphold ZS's standards.

This is something we are compiling. It is different all the time though but we do have some repeat charities. Usually we try to find a charity involved with a recent disaster after lots of research to make sure the uphold ZS's standards.
Not to question charity work, but on occasion, the individual effort is an equally worthy mention.
Every day countless people make a difference in others lives, whether pulling someone out of a burning building, or stopping to help someone change a flat along the interstate.
Personally I think the standards set by ZS should be looked at in the same way as building or manufacturers code. It's simply a starting point.
The same way that code sets the standard for the brakes on your car, it is the minimum required. You can always go farther and pay extra for the lifetime high performance brakes.

I guess I"m saying that in addition to charitable work, we shouldn't forget the small opportunities to help others. In small or large ways is to me not quite as important as the mindset.
Like building muscle memory, we get into the habit of simply opening doors or helping someone who has trouble lifting their groceries in their car. As well as for when more effort is needed, like those countless people who made room in their homes for refugees from the Katrina disaster...

hmmm... Lost my train of thought...
Reread..., I think it would be a good idea to recognize individual efforts as well as group efforts, but this is probably the wrong post to mention that.
Sorry bout the derail.
