I linked the voting site (the ZS store) 4 times in the instructions. :)

Quote:
In typical Zombie Squad style, we've decided to try out a new charity event to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. How are we going to raise money? By having people pay a small fee, $2, to vote on their favorite ZS hunk. Folks that have been around for a while have probably seen one of crypto's tactical underpants pictures. Why should he be the only one having fun?!

So, as a way to foster fun, raise money for a charity and expose lots of hairy manflesh, a contest shall be had where the men of ZS will offer up pictures of themselves in tactical gear and underpants or their choice of sexy apparel. Everybody then gets to vote on their favorite. Since ZS caters to people of all political and philisophical creeds, you may vote as many times as you desire and spread your votes in any way you choose. Each vote will cost $2, so you can vote once for your favorite candidate, 100 times for your favorite candidate or vote 5 times for each candidate. You get to decide!

Each interested person will be able to submit a maximum of 2 pictures of themself for voting. So people don't need to put host their own photos on your flickr account with the pictures of your kids at Disney World, ZS will be hosting these photos. To submit them, send them to admin@zombiehunters.org. We will host them on zombiehunters.org and post them in this thread for consideration by the general viewing public. We will make a reasonable effort to keep the photos being easily copied, but this is the internet, don't post anything that will get you fired, disowned or divorced. The person who submitted the winning picture gets the title of Beefcake for the year.

We will start accepting photos on Oct 1st and voting will start on Nov 1st and run for the full month. You can submit photos up until the last day, but you are more likely to get votes if you get us your photos by Oct 31. Voting will be handled through the ZS store.

When planning your outfit and pose, let's try to think more 50's pin-up than 2010 anime porn. Although tentacles in the picture is not a violation of the rules. Primarly, we are looking for PG-13 pictures, not rated R pictures. Sexy, but tasteful.

Addendum 1, Rules for the Contest:
This contest is intended for people who identify physically as male. Pictures submitted of men posing attractively in tactical gear will be displayed in this thread for viewing. The subject of pictures submitted shall only be that of the submitting forum member, hereby referred to as "entrant". Submitted pictures remain wholly owned by the creating artist, ZS lays no claim to any picture submitted and will likely deny any involvement regarding the taking of said pictures. Entrants shall send in between 1 and 2 pictures of themselves in tactical gear and their choice of revealing clothing. To prove the picture is not one scrounged from the web somewhere they will need to send in picture displaying a placard with your forum name. Voting will be handled through the ZS store and votes cost $2 each. Anyone may vote as many times as they like for their favorite picture. The contest will run the month of November and the winner will be declared at the end. All money collected will be presented to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

In Summary
1. Dress up in your choice of outfit involving tactical gear.
2. Take a picture.
3. Inspect that picture to verify it complies with the rules. Can someone view your picture and behold your pubic region, your penis, sack, taint, anus, or ass crack whether it is in plain view or visible through transparent fabric? If so, return to step one and start over.
4. Take another picture to identify yourself. This picture should include your face and a way to prove your authenticity. This picture should include a card with your forum name written on it.
5. Mail both pictures to admin@zombiehunters.org
6. Go to the Zombie Squad store to vote for yourself. Send the link to your friends. Each vote costs $2. You can vote as many times as you like. Voting will be open from November 1 to November 31st.

This charity event / contest is starting to make its way around various Facebook pages and elsewhere on the web. To make it easier for those who aren't on the forums all the time (or ever) and don't know the regulars, I would recommend the following:
    * Put the submitter's name in bold or larger in the description above the picture.
    * Watermark big numbers on the corners of the pictures like you did with the charity name, website and logo.
    * Put said picture number in the dropdown list when people select who they are voting for.
It's trickier to remember someone's forum handle and which of their pictures you want to vote for versus a huge number. "Was it mastersomething or duder or... I dunno! It was number 12. I remember that."
Get it? Much easier for the voting public which might translate into more votes, therefore more money for the charity.

Thank you.

Good point. I also think it will also be best to put these images on a separate web page and links to buy a vote directly under them. I'll talk to Pete this evening and see what we can do to make this easier for people to use. Then we need to promote it everywhere like the Nalgene bottle and get it some exposure.

Great list of pictures, there's so many to vote for...

One thing though, some of the pictures in the gallery has other names than in the voting section(for example Crypto is called by his real name in the gallery, but is listed as "Crypto" in the Paypal vote-section) Could you please rename all entries so that they match?

I can see it just fine.

BTW: Absolute bravo to all those who participated! I'm really sad that my OPSEC and where I'm at right now made it a poor idea for me to throw my hat (and chest rig, and the last shreds of my dignity) into the ring for this cause, but I'd not have won anyway.

Awesome stuff. Has anyone run across other sites linking this and helping it go viral? I really feel like it's just one click away from becoming the next "Double Rainbow ALL THE WAY!"

Just emailed my photos last night. It was fun. I had shot one a while back but it looked like madmatt and I had the same idea (great minds think alike!) so I did some different ones involving IBA and a sword. 8)

Sorry, that was Kyle's thing, I'll notify him now. Your pictures still shows up fine in the thread (which is hosted by picasa) but it looks like Kyle missed that one when he created the gallery on zombiehunters. Should be a quick fix. Sorry!

Considering that with my shirt off, I look like Zangief from Street Fighter, I was thinking about doing a Russian mall ninja theme. I have a Mosin, a Saiga AK. I could hopefully work something out. I need to consider the gear though. I don't have much in the way of gear :P We'll see. Also, if I go Russian, a Spetsnaz flying handax is mandatory, but I don't think I can pull off the backflip :P

There's still time let's see a pic.

The results were tallied up last night and Pete has them. He's got a hunting this this weekend with me after he gets off work so you may have to wait until he gets back in town.

Thanks to everyone who participated and to everyone who supported the drive!
