I'd love to get a SE NE group up and running... CT, MA, RI...

I'm working a Multiple Sclerosis event at the end of September, but I don't know if that's the type of charity event ZS does.

If you're working on a charity event to qualify as a ZS chapter, you need to talk to Michelle first, who is the chapter coordinator: chapter@zombiehunters.org

My paypal hates me. I tried to buy tickets but it told me there was a problem with my credit card. That whole they expire thing so I gotta stop being lazy and fix that then I'm going to buy so many tickets that Dak Kovar stands no chance in hell. Mwhahaha

If PayPal hates you (or if you hate PayPal), you can send a check or money order (or folding money) to the address given on the raffle page, and that'll work just fine (it'll even save us the PayPal fees)...

Update - we've broken the $300 mark, with a combination of raffle ticket sales and donations...

Thanks for your support so far Zombie Squad, ZS-forum donations account for 44% of money raised to date!

We've sent out info about ZS and the fund-raiser and the raffle link to friends and family and other groups that we're associated with...that being said, ZS is far and away the largest single source of income for this fund-raiser (although we're hoping to hear from Bill Gates sometime before the fund-raiser ends  )...

The generosity and trust and goodwill of Zombie Squad never ceases to amaze and impress me...I anticipate that the ratio will flip-flop before the end of the fund-raiser (with ZS being responsible for 60% or more of the total giving) as the numbers of cool/generous people here overwhelms the number of cool/generous people that we know elsewhere...

Thanks again to everyone who has participated in the fund-raiser so far!

Jamie

Hey Jamie, the website seems down. everything ok up there? need a new/temporary host? Let me know.
Well, it seems up again now. very slow to access. That was strange.
and it seems back down. Are you running this on Avian Carrier protocol?

FYI, I set up a Facebook event for the raffle. I'm going to send it to the ZS group on Facebook as well.

Fund-Raiser Update

As of 11am (ET), 8/29/08, the fund-raiser in support of the ARCNNY "Save the Day" program has raised $440:

$200 from ZS members
$240 from other people
(ZS now accounting for a bit more than 45% of the revenue in this fund-raiser...way to go ZS!)

I'd like to thank everyone who has helped out so far, and urge those who haven't either bought raffle tickets or made a donation to help out if you can.

Thanks!

Jamie

Fund-Raiser Update

Not to spam everyone, but we crossed 2 important thresholds this morning in the Fund-Raiser (see bolded numbers below)!

I'm both proud and grateful to be a part of this awesome community!

As of 11am (ET), 8/31/08, the fund-raiser in support of the ARCNNY "Save the Day" program has raised $500:

$260 from ZS members
$240 from other people
(ZS now accounting for 52% of the revenue in this fund-raiser...way to go ZS!)

I'd like to thank everyone who has helped out so far, and urge those who haven't either bought raffle tickets or made a donation to help out if you can.

Thanks!

Jamie

These are all high-quality items. I'm not sure why these cheap tickets aren't selling like hot cakes.

$630...$685 is the averaged cost of 1 day of helping a family in need for the ARC of NENY...I am hoping to race across that barrier (with your generous help, and the help of other ZSers reading this), and also contribute some of the "ala carte services" (my term) mentioned in the ARC Brochure about the "Save the Day" Program...

Any help that you are able to give will, of course, be appreciated by those of us trying to form a new ZS chapter in NY; but more importantly will help people in genuine and immediate need through the services of a time-tested organization devoted to helping the people of Northeastern NY.

(Please also remember that we're picking up all of the paypal fees, so that every cent of your generosity goes to the Red Cross)

Thanks again to everyone who has helped us out so far!

Jamie

BUMP!!!

Less than a week left, and we're about $60 shy of my baseline goal...any help that you guys can give would be appreciated...

If you've been waiting for the right time to get involved, now is the perfect time!

Thanks,

Jamie

BUMP...

We haven't gained any ground in the last few days...nothing, nada, zip, squat, bupkis...

As an added enticement to those who have not yet gotten around to it...I'm not naming names, but you know who you are...I will personally send the person who helps to push us past our goal of $685 (only $55 away from our current position at $630) a sample of my all natural cure for zombism...

Bad Medicine

Thanks for all of your help ZS...you all rock!

I'm pretty sure that you'll never hit the mark now. . .I've seen the reaction on someone's face who has tried your "medicine".

Let's go guys and gals! $55!!!

Anyhow. Bought 5 raffle e-tickets, what I can afford for the moment.
