Now I'm Pissed, either I have contributed $100.00 bucks or nothing, thats only becuse Paypal keeps giving me grief whenever I try and check the site. I havn't gotten any response from them, and I'm worried about going to the site again. :x

Sorry. We will be getting rid of Paypal completely shortly after Z-con.

Let me know if you need us to do anything to help resolve the problem with paypal. Not sure what we can do though.

I have shamelessly stolen Gunny's original post and pasted it on another board I frequent.

With luck, some of the fine people from PAFOA will be able to help.

Damn. Everytime I come to this website I find some new way to empty my bank account. Oh well, less money for hookers and blow this month, I could be worse off.

Whoa now... let's not get crazy with donating to charity stuff. Hookers need money too.

Hey everyone:

I'm still working on the overall totals as there's a few donors I need to help, but as kyle mentioned above, we're damn close to our goal of $5k.

I'll be sending out a plethora of emails tonight, assigning banners and such so if you need me for anything, don't hesitate to email me at charity@zombiehunters.org or gunny@zombiehunters.org

whoa... "we do not need your chocolate bars..."

The reference to chocolate bars appeared to be metaphorical. No aid agency is known to be distributing them.

I hope the Myanmar junta choke on their own selfish arrogance.

BLAM!

As of 6:34CST on 5/30/2008 we have $3,955 with 86 donors.

I'd like to get enough donors so that we run out of dog tags and I'm forced to come up with some other form of compensation for every $20+ donation.

Woot! Thanks again everyone :)

But at the same time, it seems pretty bad-assed that the donors damn near hit the goal with dog-tags to spare.

yes it is. The average donation per person for this drive is $46. The average donation of our first drive for Katrina in 2005 was $26.

Damn, $46 average. Way to go ZS. I only wish I had a job so I could donate more, but then again if I had a job I may not have time to take a look at the forums and actually see this fundraiser.

Whats the total now?

From Save the Children's donation site: https://secure.ga4.org/01/2007_match?qp ... %5fdn%5fmg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
With USAID matching grants, your gift of $25 can become $100, $50 can become $200, $125 can become $500 -- up to the matching requirement of the grants! Under government awarded grants, USAID will typically provide $3, and Save the Children must provide $1, up to the matching requirement of the grants. This $1 comes from generous donors like you. Thus, for each $1 of the match requirement, we will have up to $4 to spend on children in need.
Gunny or Kyle, do you know if the USAID 3:1 matching grant will also apply to ZS's donations? If it is, I think it would be great way to promote dontations.

Donated. Keep up the good work ZS.

Howdy folks :)

Here's our daily total:

$4,190 from 95 donors. We rock!

At this rate we're going to run out of dog tags thanks to all of our donors. To make nice, I'll be buying a ZS patch of the donor's choice and shipping it on my dime for each person who donates over $20 after we broach the 100 donor mark.

Hell at this rate, I don't think $6k would be out of the realm of possibilities.
