That question has nothing to do with this thread. The best way to find out would be to email chapters@zombiehunters.org

Here in KC all the health professional schools (med, nursing, dental) are co-hosting a health fair for the general public. I'm signed up to volunteer doing health screens and education. We haven't gotten assignments yet, but the possibilities are simple things like diabetic foot screens and safe-sex talks to somewhat more complex things like blood glucose readings and HIV screens. I'm super-stoked about it.

Also, would working for a program where I would tutor younger med students count?

5 Hours at arizona greyhound rescue saturday, going back tuesday to help at the kennels.

Should we turn in the forms at each benchmark (20 hours, 80 hours, etc.) or should we just wait until the end of the year and turn it all in at once?

This program is currently on hold due to lack of manpower to maintain it.

We are going to be putting out a request for volunteers to help run it shortly after Zombie Con if not before it.

Sorry for the delay. We're really excited about this program but there is simply not enough free hours in the day between the current volunteers on the Board level of ZS. We need more people.

A few people have already sent in VAP volunteer hours and we still have them on file to process once we catch up. so they will not be neglected.

Any update on this? It's sad to see such a great program go neglected.

Yes. Actually, we have a few volunteers we are going to be working with who are going to take this on. We have a ZS HQ meeting this Sunday and that's one of the things we plan to flesh out.

Thanks for the offer guys!

It is. Drop an email to vap@zombiehunters.org to make sure the charity you want to volunteer for qualifies.

It doesn't take much to qualify. It pretty much just has to be a 501c3 and can't have a mission focused on political advocacy or religious evangelism.

We are working on getting a list of currently qualified charities.

One day they will need ZS. If a real virus ever breaches our security measures.
