in cab storage and organization

Post by aikorob » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:09 am

Hey folks,
I have another set of wheels---full size, crew cab, short bed
All of my other vehicles, I would have immediately slapped a tool box on and be done---but because of the short bed, and the fact she can barely see over the bed, the Mrs. vetoed that idea.
GHB usually sits on the passenger floor.
I can fold up the rear seats, I have limited space under the seats, I can hang something off of the front seats.

looking to store:
jumper cables
spare belt
some hand tools
rope/straps
tarp
flashlight

first thought is simply a large, clear storage box----but I am open to other suggestions
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

Under and behind the back bench seat is the normal spot.
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother

What model of vehicle? I seem to recall a thread from a few years back about a storage bin that fit into some Ford pickups in the space where a winch could go behind the front bumper.

2008 F150 crew cab
back seats DO NOT fold down; bottom portion folds UP

.................just had a thought---maybe could "enclose" around the back seat legs---that would give me a space about 5" or so deep
