One thing that is always forgotten is turning on headlights on non-paved roads if you are not trying to be sneaky.

If it's dusty, you can see the taillights in front of you and headlights in back.

Because you don't ever wanna lose the guy in front of you or behind you. I think that might be the number one rule, be responsible for the vehicle behind you.

I remember when you could buy these for about $30.

Still have one stuffed under the seat in our old van. Doubt it still works.

I prefer the midland version, and have one of them for each car.
