skedco workhorse. this is my trama bag, wondering if anyone else uses one, it's got a few miles on it but I keep going back to it over others.

I'll list the contents later if anyone's interested, I have a older M5 "Mike Bag" and a M9.
I really like the M9 size wise but the interior velcro pouches are a pain to access quickly.
The Workhorse seems a lot faster to use and get into. I wish there was a option other
than zippers on all these bags but I haven't found one yet.-

My M5 & M9 too.

PROBLEMS WITH QUICK CLOT.

Its to be used by profesionsals only. It has been pulled from military first aid kits due to inproper useage and more importantly, trying to open the package with your mouth. This has been known to burn the mouth and cause more caulaties. instead of Quick clot use Combat Gauze, http://www.galls.com/style-FA231-genera ... mbat-gauze" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , this is a gauze strip imbeded with quick clot.

Yep. I'm a SABC Instructor in the USAF, and, to make it simple, tourniquets are no longer the last resort bleeding control measure.

1) Elevation
2) Direct Pressure
3) Tourniquet
4) Quick Clot

The home box. It isn't complete just started it a little while ago and still need to pick a few items up. Top of my list at the moment is some more 4x4's, Some Antibiotics, Instant ice packs.

Pretty basic stuff.

The trauma kits have a Quick clot kit, Israeli bandage, kerlix, Asherman chest seal, Tourniquet, Large catheter and a nasopharyngeal airway.

Just sharing my tiny EDC FAK - this comes to and from work with me in my (professional) shoulder bag. Think of this as a good starter!

Image
This measures about 8"x6.5"x2", and weighs 9 oz. Ruler in this shot for scale. This is just the $5 zippered FAK bag you can get in average drugstores.

Image
Here's the kit unzippered and turned sideways. This kit has 3 mesh pouches on the left side, a zippered mesh pouch on the right, and room behind the right-hand pouch to store bigger items.
* 4" roll of gauze (2.5 yds) just tucked in the middle, loose

Image
Contents of the three left-hand mesh pouches pulled out:
* Benadryl anti-itch spray, 4 cleansing wipes
* Triple antibiotic plus numbing agent, business card with several yards of duct tape wrapped around it
* Ziplocs with various medications and dosing instructions

Image
* Pill bags containing Benadryl (for acute allergic reactions), chewable Pepto-Bismol, Zyrtec (seasonal allergies), chewable 81 mg aspirin, Aleve (my NSAID of choice, especially for migraines). I see from this that I left out Imodium! I have the expiration dates in a spreadsheet but should probably write them on the ziplocs for cross-checking. I tried to minimize the amount of medical abbreviations ("as needed" rather than "prn") but still fit the dosing instructions on the bags.

Image
Contents of the right-hand zippered mesh pocket:
* Random Bandaids, two sizes
* Butterfly closures, 10
* Tegaderm film, 6x7 cm, 3
* Bandaid Tough knuckle/finger bandages, 3
* Bandaid Tough patch bandages, 2

Image
Contents of the large bottom pocket:
* 4x4" gauze pads, 6
* 1 ABD pad, 5x9"
* Cheap little "first aid guide" that came with the bag
* 10 Steri-strips
* 2x2" gauze pads, 4

Elsewhere in my EDC I have a Swiss Army knife, and a couple sets of tweezers, as needed.

No pictures yet, but I added a ~3"x4.5ft Ace bandage with clips, a few safety pins, 3 sheets of moleskin, two nitrile gloves, and a dozen Imodium pills to my kit.

My first attempt at a IFAK, which will serve as a range kit on my gear, and also as part of my bugout loadout. This should include standard IFAK gear as well as the smaller comfort items that don't take up space. I plan to pack items in a separate FAK inside my bug out gear to fill this out and supplement it. The point is to have it layered with gunshot/trauma type items on my person, but the extended FAK in my pack for sustained care, comfort, and hygiene.

I'd love feedback on what to adjust, remove and add. PLEASE PM me or let me know if you have anything to suggest!

I would add a space blanket (especially when you're on tour in the mountains), a SamSplint, some gloves, EMT-Shears and a cpr-shield.

BAG - 5.11 BLS

Haven't completed my list of exactly what is in the bag. I plan to write it all down someday, so I can have an inventory. Right now it's whatever comes into my mind that I need I grab. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

On my duty belt at work I carry a pair of EMT shears, a SOF-T wide TQ, a #28 NPA with lube, a 4" Izzy, Celox, a Sharpie and a roll of kerlix for packing. I have recently added a disposable CPR mouth to mouth barrier device and a length of Duct Tape as well. I carry a full EMT bag in the trunk of my car with everything except O2 and an AED.
