You could do a lot worse than start these two items:

http://www.amazon.com/Adventure-Medical-Kits-Trauma-QuikClot/dp/B003BS2PW4/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1457139363&sr=8-1&keywords=trauma+kit

http://www.amazon.com/Ever-Ready-First-Aid-Emergency/dp/B00E9S2AUW/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1457139432&sr=8-3&keywords=israeli+bandage

Maybe supplement that with a RATS tourniquet, some EMS shears and a few abdominal pads.

After that, you really need to think about exactly what sort of conditions you want to treat. Anaphylactic shock? Hypoglycemia? Airway obstruction?

You can find refill kits by searching for IFAK kits in ebay.

I would recommend rescue-essentials, since they have individual modules
