With no public explanation, MFJ has dropped the MFJ-9200 series (9296) QRP radio from it's lineup.
No replacement was announced.

That's ... odd.
Maybe there's an essential IC manufacturer who has gone out of business, or discontinued a chip? That happens from time to time.

Thought 1 - the warranty work/rework got to be such an expense, they just dropped the rig. Ten Tec went out of business selling the HB-1A re-branded as a Ten Tec unit. Again, QC related issues.
Thought 2 - it may be that the -9200 was cutting into the You Kit HB-1B sales more than in the past and they axed any further work for MFJ. Corollary - the two outfits may have has a falling out over something UNK to any of us.
Hopeful Thought 3 - maybe MFJ is getting ready to introduce a SDR based rig and wanted to clear the decks. (OK, likely never going to happen, but still...)
