Radio Acronyms...

Post by CaptainDrewBoy » Mon Aug 19, 2019 5:09 am

I'm sorry, but I can't understand any of these acronyms.
HF?
FM?
What? Could somebody help me out? I was reading radio threads, but can't understand them.
Let's all be as safe as possible, 'aight?

That link doesn't have some slang Acro's that may be found on radio threads.

For example HT is not there.

HT = Handy Talkie = Walkie Talkie.

No Q codes either. But here's a link for them. They're not really Acro's though I guess, and would probably not be used when 'writing' a thread.

https://www.qsl.net/w5www/qcode.html

zombiehunters.org/wiki/ is still 404, but that had an Acro library that was pretty extensive.

Here's some slang and other stuff.
