I planted 3 of these tree's back in mid-August. They are thriving. This picture below is a month old.

I actually find the leaves to be tasty. Does taste like spinach to me. We have been harvesting them for a while, a branch at a time. Leaves go into salads fresh or dried/crumbled over pasta/pizza/chicken...pretty much whatever.

Not big enough to live off them yet, but we have worked them into an almost daily diet. I haven't been able to lift my truck over my head yet, but I am making progress.

I had a little trouble finding a straight fact statement about the nutrition but as close as I could find... they're generally comparing a cup-to-cup volume relation when talking about the nutritional content... is this right? In the statements about XX% more Vitamin/Nutrient than Z.... it's on a cup-to-cup or serving to serving?

Just making sure I am talking apples to apples here, so I don't get my hopes up and find out that a servings size of Moringa is like 2 cups of 'mash' and a serving of carrots is like one whole medium carrot because that type of volume would hurt to have to consume in comparison to a carrot.

Can you just eat them raw then, like in a salad? I planted some spinach this year but couldn't harvest enough for several salads a week. If this things a bloody tree then it sounds promising.

If you are in AZ, yes. They will be fine in the heat and love the sun. They are drought resistant, but I have found, they prefer to be watered regularly. I am in FL and planted these in the heat of the summer. I actually saw an article on-line from someone in the Phoenix area that grew one quite successfully.

Yes. I snap them right off the plant and eat them. I find the taste to be similar to spinach, with a little less ‘snap’.

The plural of anecdote is not data. What nutrition has to do with what you're saying is beyond me though. And Tiger Penis would have to be in the equation he uses, as it is TCM which is crap. Anything good in "traditional medicine" is already medicine. Sure you can use willow bark, but how about just taking an aspirin?

Uh, haven't had any problems.

The leaves are good, but these tree's are usually harvested for the seed pods or "Drum sticks" as they are more commonly referred to.
