Dagoneit! You and Spammity are messing up my preps. I thought I was finished buying guns except for a Ruger 10/22.
Now, I want both the G22 and the Sterling....my bank account can't handle this....STOP IT!
You are getting off easy. Jester has corrupted my brain with his Kimber. Now I have to justify buying this to the bank account miser (aka. the woman).
Good luck with that....

I've learned that it is easier to just do it, and dont talk about the price. Example. I want a Yeti cooler cause we need a new cooler anyway.

Me: Can we get a new cooler?
Her: Sure.
Me: How about a Yeti?
Her: Sounds great lets get one!
Me: Really?!
Her: Wait, how much do they cost?
Me: $300
Her: /new cooler

I should have shut up and bought it at yes. :(

One of the things that I learned in the military is that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.

The Kimber is one of those things that I wanted but didn't need. I just saved my pocket cash and pulled an extra $20 out when I went to WalMart. It all added up a lot faster than I thought it would. With cash in hand it was hard for my wife to question anything. That technique has served me well and covered the majority or my weapons purchases. I am glad that you liked it so much. I am kind of a fan of it too.

I would just like to point out that this page is now 6 pages long. Good for us. It looks like our little group is gaining some momentum. I of course take all the credit for everything good and will give the blame for everything bad to someone else. You're welcome.

I was thinking that too but didn't want to upset anyone by artificially increasing the count.

DEWDZ the Walther G22, has totally topped my list of .22's to buy. I have a Marlin bolt-action and was thinking of getting a Ruger, but man that Walther...
.22 hollow point oughta drop a zombie ehh? I don't think they would be any use against the REAL enemy, Reavers, but Zeds ( ninja squirrels, and killer white rabbits) should be covered :D
It's good to know the Central Texas movement is picking up steam, I'm glad the capitol for the re-born Republic of Texas (assuming the current political system falls) will be well protected...
Plus my ass MIGHT be covered

That would be nice seeing as the next closest chapter to where we are is 4+ hours away.

I'd argue that it is an effective self defense weapon b/c of the accuracy. However, that is a totally different topic.

+1 on the formation of a Central Texas Chapter. Texas is just way to big to only have 2 chapters.

well there are 3 Texas chapters, gulf coast, west Texas, and north Texas.
the thing is they are all based at least 4 hours away, gulf coast is based in Houston, west Texas is based in Lubbock, and north Texas is base in Dallas.

now if y'all feel one of these chapters is closer to you the you are more then welcome to contact them, but for me the closest one is 3 hours away.

we definitely need a central chapter. Question is, do we have more folks in the River City (San Antonio) or Capitol City (Austin)?

Mebbe we just need TWO Central Texas chapters 8)

does that mean the next chapter meet is at your house?

the amount of members is about equal between Austin and San Antonio, at this time we just alternate where the events are held.
we are also currently working on finding a good meeting spot somewhere in the middle like San Marcos.

San Marcos is a little bit of a trip, but I believe it is doable :D

Cabela's has meeting rooms you can rent out. I helped hold a 4-H event there, perhaps under our good samaritan front we can get free room use> :D

Nothing wrong with them... other than their ridiculous markup. Stuff easily costs 10% more there than Academy etc... My dad once won a 1 grand gift card to Cabela's, mom spent like $400 in clothing and the like

Hey, where did you get that

i talked to one of their "event planers" about renting the room and it would cost too much for how many people we have.

'twas worth a try. Also good to know we are racially diverse and accept goat-people amongst our ranks. Do we accept the people of the Potato King from the planet Purple?

Heck, we even accept dewdz that go to dog shows. I don't think we can be any more accommodating than that...
