Mechwarrior Online
http://mwomercs.com/landingpad
Downloaded it last night.
Free to Play. 8-)

Sort of Pay2Win as you can pay real money to get M-bucks to buy what you want faster, but you can grind C-bils in combat to buy most things. Mostly special paint jobs and a few special Mechs are real money only. You start out with 4 trial Mechs that change every so often and are not customizable. You play them until you can earn enough to buy your own Mech that you can customize. I put in a few hours so far and earned enough C-bils to buy a Hunchback medium sized mech (50 ton, 1 AC20, 2 Medium Lasers). Another hour and I had enough to switch engines, upgrade to Endosteel, modify my armor, add extra ammo, C.A.S.E., and AMS. However, the armament rules are slightly different than I remember from other BattleTech games. They have "hardpoints" that specifiy where and how many and what type of weapon or equipment you can have. Each Mech has several variants that combine the different hardpoint mixes, so you should be able to get the variant you want for your preferred loadout.

Two game modes. Assault where you try to capture the enemy base and Conquest where you try to capture and hold way-points. But really it ends when one team is wiped out. Usually each Team is made up of 3 Lances of 5 Mechs. So far I have only used the auto match making system. Most battles are finished in about 10 minutes or less. If you die early you can leave the match and play in another game, but you have to use a different Mech until the match it was in finishes.

Combat is fun. It really feels like a BattleTech game played out in real time. Gauss Gun, ER PPCs, and LRMs snipe from hill tops, Assault Mechs mixing it up in the fray, Light Mechs running all over and using jump jets. If you enable it in the video options, armor glows from getting too hot from lasers and explosion damage. Several different maps where the ambient temperature effects your heat syncs effectiveness and water cools you faster and lava heats you up. Forests, canyons, cities, moon-scapes are a few of the maps I have seen.

I finally got the Last of Us.

Pretty decent game I just wish it was a little more "Open World". But other then that I give it 4 out of 5.

Got to play about 30 min, of the game over the weekend before it shut down. (Being a responsible adult and going into work sucks) .

Pretty fun, im really digging how decisions you make effect the game in big ways later on. Inter faction warfare and the like.

One thing that did take some getting used to was using the keyboard I play on PC but always with a controller.

Skyrim still.... I just love this game. When I think I have seen or heard everything in it, something new comes up. I also like making new characters.

I have also been playing Fallout 3. It is pretty fun.

Farcry 3

I feel like Oliver Queen, if Oliver Queen went ahead and used assault rifles and flamethrowers occasionally.

Perfect Dark! The original was a $1.99 on xbox live the other day. So much fun. Simple game on what I assume was the exact same engine as Goldeneye, and I had sooo many hours into it with some college roommates playing multiplayer. Weapon select wheel was pretty revolutionary, targeting multiple enemies, etc. fun shit

I remember when that game came out on the N64. Man, I feel old.

Sadly, all the copies of Perfect Dark I was able to rent all refused to work on my N64, so I never actually got to play it. :(

Fuck yeah Perfect Dark.

Just beat Farcry 3 after picking up during last steam sale. Campy, terrible story and got really ridiculous.

I loved every moment, especially as it made me feel like Olivier Queen

Perfect Dark was...perfect.

Re-playing Dead Space right now. Been so long since I first played it that I don't remember anything and it's like playing an epic game for the first time all over again.

DayZ Epoch...ive had the same character alive for the past three days. Sitting pretty with an M240, 396 rounds of 7.62X51mm and a G17 with 6 magazines, up on a hill overlooking a well traveled bandit route.

The last few I rented ...

Cowa Dooty: Ghosts. Like any other game from the franchise, you basically play a Bruckheimer movie. 10 mins of pewpewpew followed by 5 mins of scripted CGI movie, then some more minutes of pewpewpew. Boring and short. (skip the "That's what she said" - jokes, puleez.)

Crysis3. Boring.

Sniper 2. Oddly enough, this was sort of entertaining.

Update: Dishonored is awesome. 'Nuff said. Sneaking up on people, stabbing them in the neck and hiding the body, planting bombs and watching guards walk into it, all sorts of assassinating goodness. :awesome:

Well, I was playing Skyrim, but I ended up having some issues with saves not loading (got that fixed, but I've been soured on the whole Skyrim thing now).

So, I'm back to playing Borderlands 2 and trying to get more powerful guns and completing some random challenges.

PC or console?

I considered downloading a pc torrent to check if it plays well before buying it for either PC or console. Would love to hear some feedback on this. I am afraid of torrents since a lot of them might pack trojans but I love pc gaming and console is 2nd choice for me. Just don't know how well GTA behaves on pc vs console.

Got any feedback?

AFAIK GTA V is not available on PC. Console only.

Console (Xbox 360) Love the game, my only complaint is it has froze on me a few times.

You'll want a headset when you're screaming at the helmsman to turn the damn ship around because the enemy is behind you, or to remind the engineer that the engine is on fire and we kinda need that to go anywhere.

Just got Red ORchestra 2, L4D 1, ArmA 2 and Starsiege. Taking a little nostalgia trip while I save up for my CCW and after that, a home build gaming rig.
