Java simulations

You're seen the original:

You're probably seen the version where people fight back:

Now try this one if you haven't:

It's difficult and frightening. They can even rip down the walls in this version.

I like the last one, a good example of exactly what is acceptable losses?
My lowest was 91 dead with 0 Zombies, but I think that was just luck!

898 dead out of 5000 I think was my best.

if you pre bomb areas to insure the zombies cant spread as well it comes out ok. The best solution I could come up with was bigger bombs though.

Sadly I found that simply creating an arc of devestation, pre-bombing, as Sam put it, was the best way, albeit I did it when it was still an active zombie front. I simply managed to isolate the main groups of zombies in an area where they couldn't spread without crossing a giant open area filled with explosions.

Bigger bombs win the war though.

Haha, that game is a lot easier on a slow computer. On my home computer the whole city is infected in about 15-20 seconds.

Uh, 20 were alive and I had about 500 zombies for a while, and I killed a lot of people with the nukes.
Wait those people should be damn proud they are alive!

heh heh. It's easier with a fast comp (like mine) I ended up with 2200 survivors multiple times. However, most of the dead were caused by my bombs...but I put down every infection in under a minute. A couple times I even let em spread for a couple seconds first. ^.^ Then...I just created a "killing zone". I decided who would die at the beginning. I picked the largest "non infected" area and bombed the area between it and the zombies. (at the front line of the horde) bombed the hell out of it, then just waited until the zombies died of time. Anytime any of them approached the wall of nuklear doom...I dropped more bombs there. Problem solved. Only about 1/3 of the city died.

Up the population and try again. It's nuts. They spread like crazy.
