GTA V

Post by TheLastOne » Sat Jul 20, 2013 4:57 pm

Somehow I'm not seeing a post created yet and search is coming up with zilch, so there's probably a post on the first page that I'm just not seeing.

Anywho, newish footage of gameplay and showing off the big ass world to play in.

Finally something that will pull me away from Skyrim for a minute.

You didn't know? Yeah, complete BS. I was psyched until I saw that. F'em, I'll get it through other channels if they don't care enough to have it for PC on launch.

I imagine it will come out eventually. GTA IV was the only reason I bought an xbox360 instead of playstation. That couple months of exclusivity can sway people. Dunno wtf with only console now, but I imagine it has to do with multiplayer and servers.

I'll probably still buy it.

No mention of 'adult' content at all. Color me disappointed... You can saw someones leg off and try and flush it down a toilet in a video game, but if it shows boobs its the end of the world.

Got my copy on preorder (PS3) and (im)patiently waiting...

For some reason the thing I'm most stoked about over this is the scuba diving. That ish looks FUN.

Base jumping. I may attempt storyline at some point

It does look like a fun sandbox. Wondering if it has portions locked off like in the past games or if you can go anywhere at the get-go. I think there's a new mp vid:

i watched approximately 1.5 hrs of youtube on this yesterday. The amount of speculation by people on map size using a small bit of coastline viewable in a couple diff screenshots is pretty funny and amazing. They should probably be working at an agency studying spy plane photos

The amount of speculation in general is funny. Stuff from headphones while you are walking around to whether or not you will be able to create a 4th character to be 'you' for the main storyline with the other 3 chars.

I wanna play

Seriously. Waiting for this to drop sucks, I want it now.

I'd hope you could use your 4th char. in the game - about the only thing I haven't liked about past GTAs is having the character set in stone. I'd dig something a bit more Skyrim/Fallout as far as char. gen goes in this.

So, do we get Sasquatch, Leatherface, and Nessie in this release? lol

Actually a lot of companies put off programming for PC or making a PC version all together since programming on console is easier.

Pretty friggin cool so far, graphics are amazing as usual. Gameplay is pretty intuitive if you've ever played the other GTA games you'll pick the controls right up.

Word of warning, if you're like me and can't play worth shit with regular up/down controls, pause the game first thing and then invert the axis. Annoying as shit for me not to have it inverted.

ETA: Also, if you do not have a smartphone or tablet IRL, you're pretty much screwed when it comes to doing some things in game that I won't mention (spoilers.) - Not too big a fan of that. I do not have any need for a smartphone or tablet in my life, thanks. Keep all the gameplay in the friggin' game console, come on guys.

Picked it up at midnight.

My wife still won't talk to me.

Pretty intense, it owes more to Red DeadL Redemption than to GTA: IV.

I am liking it.

Holy fuck.

I can't become a gamer.

But holy fuck.

My student is a gamer, and she's been talking about this for a week. I want y'all to imagine trying to comprehend viewing this game if the last game you played or looked at was CounterStrike, because that is what I'm going through right now.

Dear God.

uhhhhhh.... ask and ye gon get it

It's fun. I can't find anything the map is so big. I died 3 times in 10 minutes after the prologue: got mugged to death by a group of 5, fell off a roof trying to use a ladder down, and got shot to death at the strip club

Cant wait for online so I can destroy everyone I work with.

The phone stuff is overloaded and I can't even log on, so meh for now. Interesting to have stuff to do on the phone tho; smart of them. Also I think you can do some of it from the social website, dunno because it's crashing like a mofo too haha

Also, neener neener neener, I have 2 more days off. My gf is already mad too. High five!
