I am still playing FO4 on XBOX. It's the only game I play despite many to choose from. I've been playing on Survival mode, which at Level 83 is more of an inconvenience than anything: with no fast travel and no quick save, I have to walk everywhere and be sure to get some sleep now and then.
I'm dealing with an annoying glitch where my Pip Boy doesn't display unless I am in power armor, which means I can't see my inventory otherwise and I can't eat, take meds, or switch weapons easily. Also, my VATS doesn't work put of power armor. I can hit the bumper and zero in, but I can't program my shots. So my character is like a disabled person who needs mechanical assistance for the basic necessities of post-apocalyptic life. She is a cyborg.
Lately, between quests, I've been heading into hellholes full of enemies and taking them all out. I made three runs at Quincy recently. All were successful but after one I got myself killed by a Col. Gutsy before I could save and another time the console froze just after I had killed the last Gunner.
I found the best way to take Quincy (which has several legendary Gunners, a Commander with a skull icon, and an Assaultron Dominator) is to go in the west gate near the Red Rocket, take out the Gunner in the church, put mines down at all of the ingress areas and balconies, and snipe from the upstairs windows and bell tower until they are all dead. I happened to arrive there just as Strong (who I didn't want as a companion so I assigned to the provisioner route between Murkwater and Warwick) was passing through, so he pulled a lot of them out and drew their fire while I picked them off. They would start coming for me and hitting the mines I had placed everywhere.
My weapons of choice are a fully modded suppressed .45 combat rifle I named Abigail (so she would be at the top of my weapon list), a .50 suppressed sniper rifle ("Hawkeye"), a suppressed combat shotgun with a drum magazine, frag grenades, and all the mines I could carry.
I just remembered that the gameplay where the Gutsy killed me I chose to get killed on because I had placed mines at the gate and I accidentally killed Cricket and her caravan guards. I like Cricket, so I had to sacrifice that gameplay to bring her back.
Anyway, I'm still having lots of fun, despite the glitches.
