I am. I wasn't expecting so much green. Granted, they said it was a whole new design, not just green thrown in, but that stuff is for use in the green only.

True that. But the original A-TACS is for use in the brown (so to speak) so a pure forest/jungle/temperate vibe was what I expected from the FG.

It'll be interesting to see if it's acceptance by manufacturers is as widespread as original A-TACS.

Eh, looks OK, but not particuarily impressive. Like the first type of ATACS it looks to be a very much single-terrain pattern. I'll stick with MultiCam for now.

Looks good for green environments obviously, possibly better than Multicam. However for the desert where I live I still think that one is too brown and now this one is too green.

The first time I saw some ATACS my thought was "needs some green" (at least for use here in Western WA ). Now that I see this new stuff I think it might be too green.....
I could be wrong though, I should probably reserve judgment until I actually see some in person.

Either way I want to get a set to try out.

Doesn't look good enough trade in my Sitka/multi cam gear though.

The resemblance is uncanny, and it makes me wonder if that's where they began their R&D.

This is a very unique pattern, I definitely will be checking who offers what. They listed all of the places to buy A-TACS under a Where to Buy Section. I just hope all of them carry the new pattern too.

Have two sets of the initial Atac's and love them for my area. These FG look good but they maybe just a bit to green for my area will have to look into it though.

I wonder do any "real operators" actually have their rifles water printed. And then carry them around in a pelican case until its time for the photo shoot.

I kind of like this but really I think it needs more brown. Forests in the Carolinas have dead leaves on the ground year round and you can see how even in their carefully lit and posed pictures the green really does stand out over the dead leaves.

I'm sure they did research on this but I'm just not sure how many environments would really be a good fit for them.

This pattern and color combination should work very well in places that have dense coniferous forest, or subtropical/tropical areas. In North America, that covers Canada and Florida, basically. It might work well in Hawaii and the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, too.

I'm really looking forward to it, personally. Multicam is a little too "brown" for my area (Southwest Florida), except for certain ecosystems/habitats (dry upland fields, mainly) and only during the dead of winter when more of the old growth has died back and turned brown/tan. I expect this to work as well as Woodland MARPAT, if not even better.

How does Multicam work where you are? How about good old M81 Woodland? Woodland MARPAT?

I'm a hardcore A-TACs fanboy.

Too bad my AO is brown. :( No FG A-TACs for me.

All of them work pretty well I think - I haven't seen much multicam in person. Woodland and especially Woodland MARPAT are very effective in wooded areas. I found playing airsoft that even DCU works fairly well in a lot of places due to all the brown leaves. My hunch has been that Multicam would be the best all-around but I've only seen some gear in it not ever a whole BDU. A lot of airsoft people kind of discourage Multicam because for more organized games they prefer a green vs. tan and multicam comes off as tan plus confusion.

Looks like it'd function great here in Louisiana. Might have to look into it to replace my baggy BDU's.
