Tactical Tailor MAV2 and stuff.

I need to get new photos, as I've moved some stuff around as a result of running it through a couple of classes.

Mine looks like this. A small bit of mods here and there, none of which change the rig significantly. I also have another chest rig of the same style HEAVILY modified into a shoulder bag.

Clearly the .22 is not for zombies. It is to shoot things that taste good with ketchup on them.

My new Eagle plate carrier with cummerbund project(work in progress)

Image

Image

Right side has a maxpedition medium tactile pouch I use for an ifak. Trying it out since it's slimmer then most first aid pouches. Has S-rolled gauze, triangular bandage, energency trauma dressing and tourniquet.

Next is four maxpedition double mage pouches and and eagle smoke pouch.

A folding dump pouch is on the way to go next to the smoke. Also getting 2 pistol mag pouches to go up top and a hydration carrier for the back. I'm still not sure about my ifak....would really like something bigger so I can add a few things to it, but I like how this one doesnt stick out too far. May just add a pouch to the back to hold more.

I keep an OTV with 2 3x1 single stack pouches and an issued IFAK with some extras in there.

Something I'd like to mention is that I keep a SOF tq on the top left rubberbanded to the webbing.

Try it, you'll like it.

If you kids really want a picture I'lll get one when I get home.

Just out of curiosity, are any of the above vests body armor compatible or are they just merely LBVs?

Mine has soft armor inserts (front, back and side) and front and back plates. It can hold side plates but I'm not a fan.

To Davepal and Young - Do you guys actually have the inserts and if you do how much does your setup weigh? Total weight meaning the vest, pouches, mags, everything.

I have the woodland molle vest with two sets of 3 pistol mag pouches, a 40mm flare pouch that houses my 2 flashlights, 3 grenade pouches that carry my: gps, LED headlamps and a headnet for bugs. On the side is my canteen pouch with canteen of course, not shown in the pic but on the rear is the mod 0 mk3 combat knife and the molle buttpack. I almost forgot I have a small survival kit in a green decon container in the back there as well.

Yeah I have Izzy plates in it. Total weight? No idea. I'd have to hitup the scale. One thing that's true, it's not so much the weight but the distribution (to a point, obviously). Plate carriers without plates = no bueno. Floppy as shit.

Yes. ~29lbs with all 8 mags loaded. Got the dump pouch in today but still waiting on pistol mag pouches and hydration carrier/bladders.

Chest rig and pouches are from Specter Gear. The chest rig is a M1 MK3, mag pouches include 2 single magazine AR pouches and double universal pistol mag pouch. The holster is also from Specter Gear - - I ordered it specifically to fit my Glock 36, but it fits a Glock 21 equally well with a very minor adjustment of the thumb strap.

This is an older pic. I actually wear it a bit lower now, more like a belly rig than a chest rig. I'm not sure what to do with the extra real estate in between the holster and AR mags.
Holmes: "You have arms, I suppose?
Watson: "Yes, I thought it as well to take them."
Holmes: "Most certainly! Keep your revolver near you night and day, and never relax your precautions..."
