If they both have similar features and the same 420cc engine, go with the one with the best quality reputation. That 1K wattage difference in theoretical output could well be explained by differences in how the manufacturer measures/markets the product's capacity. Unless you have some compelling evidence to believe otherwise, consider them to be roughly equal in capacity.Halfapint wrote:... 7k watt DeWalt and a 8k Generac. Both are push start, both have the 420cc engine and similar everything else. They are at the exact same price point $999.00 So I think I'll go with the Generac just because it does have 1k extra for the same price.
Thoughts?
I've got one as well, it is a fantastic generator. But yes, not cheap at all..... it is the same price as one of these big generators I'm looking at.Neville wrote:I have had a pair of Honda EU2000i generators and the 30 amp tandem panel for several years.
They have run reliably on routine maintenance and done everything that needed to be done, including AC in my travel trailer.
Downside is they aren't cheap generators. Upside is they aren't cheap generators.
I would buy again without hesitation.
