I could never afford or justify a good set of night vision goggles but I did score for $5 at a flea market this.

I knew it was just a toy and nothing to take seriously and never had any intention for actual usage but I was very surprised at how well it worked! Its works good out to about 70' and inside a pitch black home, you see everything. Newer updated versions go for $60+/- and the big online stores have them. Until more serious gear can be afforded, this is a possible option.

And again, yes, I know its a toy!

That may be a camera with a bunch of Infrared LEDs for illuminators. It is a very affordable way to see in the dark. Nice find. Any links to those?

Thats exactly what it is. Mine is made by EyeClops, as I said, can be found online by major suppliers.

I have an old 8mm video camera which uses the same setup and performs the same. Old ones bought cheap could serve the same purpose and possibly cannibalized for a more purpose built system.
