Not economical but if you can work from solar power and had one of these gadgets you could get by without a well. Basically a dehumidifier and may or may not have water treatment capabilities. Limitations are altitude, temp and local humidity levels.

I could see a use for these on Arrakis in arid areas, but water is so prevalent in and around my AO I don't imagine needing one any time soon.

Nice! In Southern California the biggest point of failure is water availability. Lots of humid air near the coast so air to water is viable.

From what I’ve quickly learned about atmospheric water generators, I’m very suspicious about this and this guy is clever. A search on if this was a scam yielded a bunch of advertorials and press releases that all use very similar language.
