Auto knife options

For those who live in areas where firearms are not an option and those that are smart enough to have a back up.

Auto knife options

Post by delarey » Tue Oct 10, 2017 7:40 pm

Hi guys. I've owned 2 benchmades in the past and to be honest, was too afraid to carry them, because they were so damned expensive! I'm in the market for a semi-economical auto knife for EDC. Think around $50.
I've looked at Boker and offerings from S&W. The latter is not an option. 3 of the s&w knives literally came apart in my hands in the store.
Any experience with Boker? Any recommendations for a decent auto in the $50 range?

I have a couple of the Boker Kalash autos....the Wharncliffe and the recurve tanto. Decent knives for $40. They don't have locks, but the button is flush. I've yet to have one fire in my pocket.

Interesting! Never considered OTF before. I'll take a look.

I have ben carrying one at work for a little over 2 years now. it doesn't get heavy use, I like the ability to open and close it with one hand

I have a Kershaw Launch 4. Very small and lightweight.
