Hand Strength and Bowie/large knife use.

For those who live in areas where firearms are not an option and those that are smart enough to have a back up.

I've got good strength to run my Bagwell, but flexibility really suffers. Range of motion has really declined after years of work on machinery.

Drills with the blade seem to be helping but oh, Lordy do I get sore as hell.

What do you have for that? Ideas?

What about some kodegeish(sp) type stretches? I am working with knives nearly daily, even if its breifly, as well as various joint locking methods. I'm not as flexible as i was in my teens, doing jujutsu several hours a week, but i have not run into real problems as of yet.

What actions bother you with your knife?

I have no idea what kodegeish is. I'll google that in a bit. The wrist rotations are the culprits I believe. The thrust/back cut/back cut practice probably. The pain comes later and sits heaviest in the thumb and inside wrist below the thumb.
