When was the last time you went through your FAK, and made sure you have every thing where it needs to be, and you have every thing stocked.

Clearly the .22 is not for zombies. It is to shoot things that taste good with ketchup on them.

I don't have a vehicle yet. But I redesigned my pantry today and tossed 3lbs of pearled barley that expires in a few days. I bought 5lbs to see if the family would like it, and we didn't.

Someone else answer the question about brake fluid.

Didn't change it, but had my brake fluid checked while getting my oil changed this past Saturday.

When was the last time you tested a back roads bugout route out of town? (For me, it was about a year ago, taking US-61 to Memphis from New Orleans for MidSouthCon)

Two weeks ago. My potential BOL is my parent's place, and the route to this leads through a rural and broke county. Every road is a back road there.

When was the last time you learnt something new about your local flora or wildlife?

Couple days ago, and pretty often. I've only been around Louisiana for 5 years, now.

When's the last time you checked the contents of first aid products in your house to ensure the bare minimum is there, and that you know what to do with all the stuff you do have, if you're a gear whore?

Stove exhaust fans have filters??

Actually to the OP, great idea for a thread.
Things I need to do: Furnace filters, I look at them every other day and have been watching to see if they are "ready" to change.

I also need to make electronic copies of important documents, and catalog my wife's jewelry collection, but that will take days and several thumb drives.

Last time I zeroed truck gun, 2 weeks ago.
Last time I changed batteries in smoke alarm one month ago. Going to replace the older alarm next week.

When was the last time you trained for close quarters combat with your hand gun? (Going tonight)
When was the last time you learned a "survival" skill? Two weeks ago, here, (Actually, almost daily here).

When was the last time you repacked your BOB. I just had to go through every pocket to find my damn spare keys ... I need to be more familiar with this thing.

Funny, I found my flash drive in my GHB in the car.

It had my most recent resume on it, which was several months old. When is the last time you updated your resume?

I updated my resume 3 months ago when I was purchasing a franchise, for which I needed to get business insurance and increase my life insurance coverage.

When was the last time you updated your insurance coverage?

When was the last time you checked you GHB for items that had "wandered" away?

Had to stand in line to get into a gun show Saturday. Was still half asleep when I left house and realized I did not grab my stocking cap out of my warmer winter coat. I wanted to wear a lighter coat so I wouldn't be overheated walking around the gun show.
When I got to the show I figured I'd grab the stocking hat out of my GHB to wear until I got inside. Wrong! The hat has gone missing. I must have taken it out to wear at some point and not put it back.

I either need to double up on those types of items or make a rule that GHB gear is only to be used in a real PAW SHTF situation.

When was the last time you changed the batteries in your EDC flashlight?

Had to use mine to look for my daughters lost keys, lost while sledding last night. Got a call that she lost her keys at the hill. Off I went, I did grab a few extra LED lights and we used those and my good light to look. My light is considerably brighter so I switched to it when we were not having any luck finding the keys using the cheaper LED lights.
Still didn't find the keys until today in the daylight. I do need to replace batteries in all the lights we used last night though.

Updated my BOB, replaced all expired medications, battery's (rechargeable of course  ), checked everything to make sure it all works as planned, and added/removed a few things.

Now I'm off for a weekend camp with it all.

Hit the gym - This morning (for the first time in awhile :D )

Checked flashlight batteries - Constantly (I have two young kids who go through them like crazy)
