For a truly hopeless situation Mistrel Boy or Greenfields of France. For the merely impossible situation Devils Dance Floor by Flogging Molly.

Lamb of God - Hourglass

http://youtu.be/WZgLi_jQyhY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here's the lyrics of the first verse, in case some cannot understand the vocals.

Privileged, the chosen few
Blessed with our time in hell
Witness the divine vision,
The day we all fell still
Rapture, The dying age
A shattered hourglass
Wrath of the waring Gods,
And so this too shall pass.
It's only getting worse,
Not worth a moment's regret
Each dawn another curse,
Every breath a twisting blade
Of what was left behind,
In the ashes in the wake.

I searched this long thread for the word Motorhead and got no results. Can't believe no one has said "Ace of Spades"!!!!

Of course, there's always Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' "Straight To You" or Hedningarna's "Raven (Fox Woman)."

It's a tough thing to decide. There's just so much music out there to die to.

Carly Rae Jepsen's Call me Maybe. Seems like a fitting end.
