"Silent running" by Mike and the mechanics.

...There's a gun and ammunition
Just inside the doorway
Use it only in emergency
Better you should pray to God
The Father and the Spirit
Will guide you and protect from up here

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

Swear allegiance to the flag
Whatever flag they offer
Never hint at what you really feel
Teach the children quietly
For some day sons and daughters
Will rise up and fight while we stand still....
I forgot about that song....thanks

The auxiliary is always an important but often neglected role in a resitance :awesome:

That's interesting. 2 people think of the same song related to this post. Note to self, pay more attention to the words in songs.

Saturday night I heard this song on the radio... I hadn't heard it in a long time, and I don't recall that particular station ever playing it before. I recognized it as Mike & the Mechanics but couldn't remember the title so I searched for it the following day on youtube. Then today I saw these posts on the ZS forum. It's like I'm in the Twilight Zone or something.

Trivia: The end of that song is heard at the start of the video for All I Need is a Miracle. Coincidence?

I didn't click his link 'cause I'm in the boonies and thought it was a Phil Collins song until I got the search complete off the lyrics.

Good thinking. Coyotes are notoriously anti Phil Collins :awesome: That and certain kinds of hats. They will tear you apart if they find you listening to Phil Collins while wearing a fedora.

What do you do, and why?
I find out where their HQ is, who the top dogs are in my area, and I start following them home, putting bullets into their heads with a silenced .22.

I think at this point if anybody anywhere in the northern hemisphere is shot with a a suppressed .22 in the next decade you're going to be the first suspect.

Nut-unh, not if you skip the tax stamp. They will never find you then.

I would fight them as covertly as possible. Since it's likely that they would use the rails to move their people, equipment, etc I would use my knowledge of the inner workings of how railroads work and teach others how to sabotage covertly, i.e. engines stalls continually, fail brake tests, sanders fail, accidentally dump water, trip oil sensor, burn up turbo on motor, etc. And that's just on an engines. you could remove rail stakes to cause the rails to roll, pin switches in the wrong direction, or bend the switch rod to make impossible to throw it. and that's before the engines even leave a rail yard.

Why would you think someone would use train in the US, or are you talking about a different country? Sorry, your location just says Earth...

Sabotage needs to be simple & quick. In & out.

Sorry. I'm in the USA. A large part of many things, i.e. fuel, food, lumber, weapons, ammo, cars, etc is shipped at some point via rails. Rails cover a large part of the USA, and seems like it would be something a new rebel government would want to "control" for the greater good. Rails would give them a road separate from the concrete path that everyone else has to travel.
As far as sabotage needing to be quickly done, most of what I mentioned can be done by simply turning off the wrong switch as you exit the engine. A quick swing of a sledge hammer or 2 guys with a good pry bar can make a switch unusable quickly. Teach a few others what to do and you could force them off the rails rather quickly and back to the road where you could plan a whole different set of problems for them. Just my 2 cents...

Don't worry; the CIA has it covered.

https://www.cia.gov/news-information/fe ... otage.html.

It's a sabotage manual from 1944, before the CIA was the CIA.
