Once again on your way, th road seems clear. A day or so out, and your back where you were, west bound, heading into what you now know will be a risky area. To avoid th road bandits ahead, your 4 legged companion(dog or cat) and you will branch off a 1/4 mile north, then travel parallel to this road until past th suspected area being worked by th scum that ambushed th pilgrim you saved. Making your way past th suspect area, you manage to spot half a dozen rouges laying in ambush covies to th side of th road, while you watch a vehicle moving moderately approaches, th gang will probably have th road spiked, maybe it''ll stop th vehicle, maybe it'll just slow them down, you don't know th full capability of th road gang either. WWYD?
1: Watch it go down, and remain neutral.
2: Watch it go down, waiting for an opportunity to assist th travelers.
3: Ambush th ambushers first, foiling their trap, then try to get away.
4:Fire one well placed shot at an unimportant part of th vehicle to make them leary, then sneak away hoping for th best.
5: Creative alternate( Please share).

#4 seems like a horrible idea.
That being said, #1 and if an opportunity to apply #2 into action then I would do so. Only if its a viable option for living on to the next ambush. Im always looking to properly apply a good #2.

My traveling cat companion will stop the travelers and demand "cheezbergers"
Sorry but your scenario reads too much like D&D story for me to take seriously. Also watch out for the auto spelling. I'm guessing the rouges are not rogues who paint their faces red.
Lastly, if you watch a crime and do nothing you might as well be an accomplice.

That would be a good start. As far as the scenario, I would definitely hope for #2, but it might not be realistic. If I see that I can step in and help, I will. But, in a doomsday scenario, it is not always practical.B&Q wrote:6: Put an e on the end of th

Watch from a good place I can shoot from. Maybe the new group is blue scum and I can finish off survivors of the gang battle for fun, profit, and the good of humanity.
If the new car has a family or nuns or cheerleaders, I guess I'll help them too.

I'm no hero, I'm too old for that these days.
The new folks should have recon of some sort, and a convoy.
With only one vehicle and wandering 'innocently' through the countryside like that, I'd be wondering if they were decoys of some sort from another group.
If they turn out to be innocents, then crap, I guess I'm going to do what I can. (Exact actions can't be posted here.)
My people know me and what I can and can't let pass.
