What would you put in a mini BOB?
I was thinking today that most of us have BOBs. Many are even fortunate enough to have them available at all times.
However, for the person who commutes to work via train, or perhaps motorcycle, what have you. There has to be certain times when it's just impossible to have a BOB with you.
I myself can think of a few instances where perhaps I rode with friends etc.
Most people can take along a small bag wherever they are though.
Given the size limitations of a lunch sack, a purse, or some other small bag.
What would you include in a "mini BOB"?

Yeah I've down something like that before. Here's the link to the kit list and picture:

Does your BOB at least have: water, basic tools, fire, food, first-aid kit, and shelter?

Awesome ideas. Sorry for the duplicate thread. The searches I preformed either pulled up nothing related or way too many BOB posts. I am going to be working on putting my mini bob together this week

Try searching for tactical man-purses, EDC bags, etc.

Recently started commuting by train and bus again, Here is my take on it.
Note that this canvas bag sits in a Kelty redwing pack with my laptop, and a bunch of other stuff, and I have a supplemental food and water kit in the office and in the car.

I'm thinking a well packed MAxpedition Rhemora.
The usual, just less of it:
Serious knife, plus swiss army knife
Soft water bladder, 1 L
Filter straw, decontamination tabs
TAc Flashlight
Striker and Bic disposable
Adventure Med kit first aid
Paracord bracelet
Multi-tool
compass and maps
some bars and snacks

Actually, my main bag has a survival pouch, that is pretty formidable. Has the lighter/smaller versions of what is listed above.

My flash light.
My pipe and tobacco.
Lighter.
My little HEST knife or ESEE3 or my Buck 110.
3 nasty Cliffs bars.
In an emergency, I would grab an empty soda bottle and store bags out of a garbage can.
All this I can carry in my pockets. No bag needed, but if I found a need, I would just use a Kroger bag.
Be weary of the " experts ". Especially the fat ones and loud ones.

Re: What would you put in a mini BOB?
Three years ago there was an interesting mini kit contest:
"Mag Pouch Survival Kit Contest"
http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopi ... 14&t=57454" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The porn starts around page 7 (of 23)... and some of the, um, porn, got replaced with, um, near porn, so brace yourself.
The surviving pouch pics are useful, with some great ideas.
This appears to be an index of the submissions:
http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopi ... &start=480" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Personally, I think most of us are far more likely to use a mini kit than a full blown BOB, plus it's an interesting (and fun!) intellectual challenge.
