Obviously I'll never even see the first choice unless I pry it from the cold dead hands of a Russian Spetsnez that invaded Kansas and I killed while screaming Image

The shotgun is far too limited, so make it a compact, lw, silenced fighting rifle, a silenced .22lr pistol and a 9mm in a front pants pocket holster. There's nothing "dream" about it. They are reality.

Now see, there you go getting lazy again. That vegetable thing was creative but I think you're trying to do too much at once. Take a break, watch Tremors again, maybe Netflix some Jericho and come back fresh a little later.

Guns are heavy. I'm not sure I want to carry three and I know I don't want to clean three.

For ZPOC, I'd carry a basic 9mm pistol. My S&W SD9VE would do just fine.

Next, I'd carry a rifle that would work well for hunting like a 30/30 or a .308. I have an AR, but I'm not totally sold on them. In a land with no hospitals and no doctors, avoiding firefights would be a really good idea. Hitting someone from 300 meters would be preferable to exchanging shots with them at 3 meters. I could go for a bolt action rifle.

For a shotgun, I'd like one of those break action over-under deals with a .22 and .410 or .22 and 20 gauge combo. That would be good for getting rabbits, squirrels, and birds for dinner.
People were once divided into hundreds of groups, but now there are just two: the living and the dead.

I already own what I'd carry if I had to bug. It would be a tough choice, but probably:

Pistol : Glock 21 .45 ACP with laser sight/LED tac light combo or H&K USP .45 (full size. I have more extra mags for the Glock and the G21 carries an extra round per mag :13 +1 vs 12 +1)
Rifle One of my AKMs (I have a MAK 90 and Romak, both perform well and have always functioned perfectly) with bayonet and tac light/laser sight combo or my customized M1A
Winchester 30-30 lever action carbine instead of a shotgun. If it has to be a pistol/rifle/shotgun combo, then my Mossberg 500 with 18"bbl and "assault package"

Plenty of extra mags and ammo for everything and my KA-BAR

The original post specified Rile, Shotgun, Pistol though.

For me, if I'm bugging out on foot there's no way I'm carrying all three, so I'd likely pare it down to just pistol and either the shotty or the rifle, but not both, which would depend greatly on what I'm bugging out from and where I'm bugging to. The shotty would be my choice (Mossberg 590) for urban defense or woodland survival. For sparsely wooded areas or open plains I rather favor either a JRA M-14 or a Beretta BM-59. My sidearm, in either case, would be the SAR B6P that I already own, am comfortable and accurate with, and which, with three loaded mags gives me a full deck (52 rounds) of 9mm cards to play in any encounter.

Zombie posting. If I had to pick them, I'd go with a Sig P226 for a sidearm probably a Legion, I am currently going to start building a 5.56 10.5" "Pistol" next week when it gets delivered and I am not sure if I would go with a shotgun, I'd prefer a scoped larger caliber instead of a shotgun but if I had to have a shotgun, It would probably be a mossberg Shockwave the little shorty shotgun or a Serbu

I like three guns in my list on the top is AWM snippier it is really best in balance and perfect accuracy while using! second one is M416 it is the perfect machine gun in speed firing and the third one is Dp18 ( Degtyaryov machine gun) best in firing accuracy this machine gun is amazing it has little cons that it takes some time to reload!!

I have a bad back, bad neck, bad knees, and a rebuilt shoulder because of my service in the Navy, so I'm not carrying three firearms. If I had to carry more than one and I had my "dream" kit, it would be a S&W 629 .44 magnum alongside a similarly chambered Marlin 1894.

I don't know if I have a true dream 3 gun carry but if I had to go into long-term survival mode I would want a VZ 58 and Glock 17 for defence and a Savage model 42 for food.

Things I own:
-AK74
-Ruger 9E or Para P14
-Sawed off double 20 gauge (mad max style)

Dream set up:
-FN P90 SMG with "giggle switch"
-FN 5.7 or CZ P-09
-Ithaca 37 stakeout

Man, this is a throw back!

I guess if we are talking strictly zombies, I can't complain about my dream set up with the 5.7, especially on foot.

I think in modern times of the insanity that is 2020, I'd change my current set up. Then again, I'll change my mind tomorrow.

General societal breakdown:
300 BLK pistol AR (rifle sorta)
CZ P10f
Benelli M4
