"Outbox" is where messages sit until they're read. You can still edit them when they're in the outbox. Once the messages are read, they're moved to "Sent." Note that if you copy multiple people or a group, the message is moved to "Sent" as soon as one person reads it.

That's because the mods are awesome and open their mail immediately :)

Some of the themes don't have poll support. Sorry about that, but there are only a handful of people using "unsupported" skins and it's not worth the time effort to get them fixed up.

I stay logged in if I navigate through the "View New Posts", "View Your Posts", the board index, or the sub-forums.

I've cleared all of my ZS cookies and dumped the cache, but I still have the problem.
Have you verified that the cookies have actually been deleted? Go to "view cookies" or whatever it's labeled in your browser. Also, after deleting cache and cookies, some browsers require a restart before attempting to go back to the pages that are causing the problems. Best bet is to close all tabs, delete everything, restart browser. Also, make sure you don't have any robotsquad.org or 68.232.189.35 cookies that could be wreaking havoc.

So that forum member who shall not be named just never bothered to read my PM (itself a reply to a message to me)? And that's why it never left my Outbox? Why that little *)&(*&_#$#!@!@!

Thanks Whisk.e!

Update: After checking for any robotsquad cookies or cookies with that IP address (there were none) and poking about a bit, I discovered that if I clicked on a posted link that looked like this

Code: Select all

http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=87147
I am not logged out, but if I click on one that looks like this:

Code: Select all

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=87147
I get logged out.

Was trying to post to this thread: How much is a pound of less weight worth?

at: http://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/view ... 4&t=108540" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And kept getting this error:

Has anyone had the experience of embedded videos not showing up in threads? I never had a problem before, but 2 days ago, I just noticed empty posts.

The error appears to be transient, I was able to post in that thread a moment ago. Perhaps logging out followed by a login (and thus clearing some session state) might help.

I've chatted with some other members reporting this issue earlier in this particular thread. If you can tell me a bit more about the operating system and browser version, I can certainly look into it, but there aren't many more knobs for us to twist in terms of making embedded youtube videos work.

Same here, I went into settings and clicked on the clear history & clear cookies and data functions but it didn't make a difference. But in every other aspect the ZS forum is functioning as usual so that's good.
One thing, on my laptop which uses internet explorer: youtube videos are showing and playing perfectly.

Ive been trying to avoid using the laptop, but I guess I'll have to. Interestingly, some of the "smilies" are not showing.

2 Bugs with PMs

I have a few PMs that are "Thanks" messages but when clicked to follow to the post I get sent to a half-text half graphics ZS 404 message

I have a "1 New Message" notification that will not go away. I tried logging out and back in to no avail

Thanks!!

PMs are getting buggier

I got an email alert for a PM:

Hello teotwaki,

You have received a new private message from "zombieapocalypsegame" to your
account on "Zombie Squad" with the following subject:

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

You can view your new message by clicking on the following link:

https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/ blah- blah -blah

You have requested that you be notified on this event, remember that you
can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the
appropriate setting in your profile.
--
Thanks, The Management

and when I click on the link in the email I got this:

You are not authorised to read private messages that are on hold.

Tried deleting a bunch old messages, found the button for messages on "hold", read them, deleted them and that seemed to reset things. What I did not see was a warning that I had exceeded PM storage limits but that seems to have been the root cause.

In the last few hours did an Admin give the Forum a digital enema?

I received in one sudden batch 143 (old) notification emails about topics or PMs from a month ago. I can't say if they are ones that were never sent or if they were duplicates.

Yeah, that would be me. I'm sorting out some of our email woes. Please bear with us as we try to un-f**k the forum email notifications.

Love,

Example of my workaround. Looks to be bad formatting from the ZS software?

A recent "Thanks for the post" PM gave me this link that leads to a 404 message:

https://www.zombiehunters.org/home/admi ... #main-menu

If I trim it down a bit to get it to work I think this is the correct link to get me to at least the right thread for the message I am being thanked for:
