Initially, I had the "can't log in at all" problem. I cleared the cache, history, and cookies. No help. I had to create a new Firefox profile to be able to log in at all. Creating a new profile and getting it set up is a pretty big PITA, BTW. Now, I can log in, but I get logged back out incessantly. Pretty much every time I get an email notification, I have to log back in before I can see the thread. Used to be I basically never had to re-log-in.

OK, I've figured out what's going on. All the update emails I'm getting have their links pointing to new.robotsquad.org. When I click the link, I go to that domain. I then have to log in. For whatever reason, I am CONSTANTLY getting logged out of new.robotsquad.org. Every single time I do something with it, I have to re-log-in. However, if I change the domain to zombiehunters.org, I stay logged in no matter what.

Does that help run down the problem any?

I cleared the Cookies and it let me log in. But it logged me back out again in less than 12 hours.

Depending on what thread the notification is about, I'm getting them with three different addresses:
new.robotsquad.org
zombiehunters.org
www.zombiehunters.org

That shouldn't be happening since phpBB should be using the address entered in the board configuration in the admin section. I suspect that something is screwy in the DB, but it should be fairly easy to fix. If it were my system I'd probably do a SQL query to see where new.robotsquad.org is showing up in the DB, then just overwrite it with zombiehunters.org and that should take care of it. Might have to take the forums down for 15-20 minutes to run the patch though.

OK, last two nights, I've been getting this semi-frequently. I never get it during the day:

Code:
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Too many connections [1040]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

I've had trouble accessing the forum on either domain today. It just churns and churns, until I give up.
ETA: Never mind, it seems my internet connection was on the fritz yesterday. All is well now!

To put it into computer terms: It's like my browser picked up a coke can that it thought was full, but it was actually empty.

Registered, but can't access local chapter forum (ZS024). Are they a rather elite club?

Edit: Figured it out. Not the tech genius.

"Topic Reply Notification" emails seem to no longer be working for me. Several threads that I'm subscribed to had new replies for which I did not get notifications last night.

ETA: I've checked to ensure the subscriptions are still active and that my email address is correct. Furthermore, I checked the logs on my email server to see if any messages from the site had come in overnight and there are none shown in the logs.

Whenever I click on an in-forum link in a thread, I get logged out and dumped on the log in page. (for example, if I was to click on a link to the Food Storage Porn thread, posted in another thread, I get logged out). What is even weirder is that if I try to log back in at that log in screen, it keeps logging me off and dumping me back to the log in screen, but if I close that tab or hit the back button and log back in, I stay logged in. I stay logged in if I navigate through the "View New Posts", "View Your Posts", the board index, or the sub-forums.

I've cleared all of my ZS cookies and dumped the cache, but I still have the problem.

It happens to me too. Also for links that other people link me to on IRC. It's annoying.

Here's one. Switched to eTechGrey and couldn't post a poll answer. Got an error that it was 'Invalid'. Switched back to Prosilver and it posted the result fine.

I've noticed that sometimes a PM I send stays in my outbox for hours, days, or in one case, apparently forever (I finally deleted it after a few months when I realized the forum member I tried to send it to no longer seemed to be around anyway).

At first it seemed like it was because I had been using up 75% percent or more of my alloted space in my sent and received message folders. I kind of like to keep messages to remind me of all the interesting people I'ved PM'ed with. But lately I've gotten a lot more militant about purging messages and now I'm at around 35% on both of those two PM folders.

35% is still taking up room, I know, but is there a reason why a PM I sent out first thing this morning is still sitting in my outbox 2 hours after I "sent" it?

And this only happens to "ordinary" forum members. PM's to moderators seem to go out more or less instantaneously.
