Former AG Holder ... “take to the streets”

Post by KentuckyRifleman » Mon Dec 18, 2017 4:00 pm

I find this type of language by former high ranking government officials to be a bit nerve-wracking. I think it is mostly posturing and politics but anytime someone urges civil unrest I get uneasy.

Thoughts?

Edited for grammar

I would say that the peaceful protests that they're advocating is not the same as civil-unrest.

YMMV,

Note that nowhere in the article is Holder actually quoted as saying "take to the streets"; that's the Newspeak...I mean Newsweek...headline.

It looks like this quote:
“This weekend I’m stocking up on portable phone chargers, warm clothes, & gear needed for when we take the streets. I’m concerned the assault on the rule of law is coming over the holidays when we’re distracted. It‘ll be a defining moment for the Republic.” twitter.com/waltshaub/stat…
By Former White House ethics lawyer and director of the Office of Government Ethics Walter Shaub is being more or less attributed to Holder.

Still seems like they are jumping the shark.

So let me get this straight ... you’re advocating that we actually read the article. That’s a lot of work!

This thinly veiled call to "protest" by a disgraced/censured ex political appointee is strictly politics and as such is not permissible here. This thread is locked.
