So, that security guard that got shot at went missing last Thursday.

Las Vegas Security Guard, Jesus Campos, Credited With Saving Lives in Massacre, Is Missing

Oh, and there's this little tidbit, too:
Las Vegas Metro Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill had told KNPR, a local NPR affiliate, that Campos was on the 32nd floor to check on a door alarm when he noticed that the stairwell door was blocked. He radioed a maintenance worker, who arrived and when the two started talking, then Paddock started shooting the door of his room.

But a former guard told the LA Times that the Mandalay Bay has no alarm system for doors.

Apparently, he was just with Ellen DeGeneres. 0.o

And his account is completely different than any of the ones previously expressed by the media. Door stuck open vs door drilled shut. Shots began when Campos and Schuck talked in the hallway near the gunman's door vs Schuck wasn't even up there yet. Etc. Good grief.

BTW MGM Mandaly Bay is being sued by hundreds of people over their "security failure" regarding the MF.

Hotels in the past have generally not been held liable for a guest's actions uness there was gross negligence involved. IMO it will be a high hurdle to prove gross negligence in the part of Mandalay Bay in this case, but who knows. The 2010 case occurred n the hotel grounds. In this case the shooting while originating at the hotel hurt people off the hotel grounds. That and it had never happened before.

If they prevail I predict that large (maybe all) hotels will likely have revamp security and even add entrance security check points with metal detectors and such. If you recall after 9/11 many office buildings and high rises had such security checkpoints for a time.

So regardless of the outcome most large hotels are likely reviewing their security protocols.

http://www.businessinsider.com/mgm-and- ... ng-2017-11

Hundreds of victims of the Las Vegas shooting have filed lawsuits against the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and its parent company MGM Resorts International.

Several lawsuits — the largest of which was filed on behalf of 450 people — attempt to hold MGM legally liable for the shooting, which killed 58 people and injured hundreds more. Victims are additionally suing the shooter Stephen Paddock's estate and the concert organizer Live Nation Entertainment Inc. as well as, in some cases, the manufacturer of the bump stocks that allowed Paddock to fire as if he were using automatic weapons.

The crux of the lawsuits' arguments is that MGM and the Mandalay Bay failed to take preventive measures that might have foiled the attack. Plaintiffs argue that staff members should have been better trained to spot red flags with Paddock.

Over the three days between when Paddock checked in to the hotel and fired from his window at a concert across the street, Paddock took at least 10 suitcases filled with firearms into his room. Police officials said Paddock also constructed an elaborate surveillance system in the hotel, placing two cameras in the hallway outside his suite — one on a service cart — as well as a camera in his door's peephole.

In October, the Nevada Supreme Court found that MGM could be held liable in a 2010 assault on a California couple at one of the company's hotels, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. The court ruled that the attack was “foreseeable” because there had been similar cases of violence at the hotel.

The question of whether the Las Vegas shooting was foreseeable is at the center of the Mandalay Bay lawsuits.

With several high-profile mass shootings having taken place in the US before the Las Vegas shooting, attorneys may argue that hotels and other venues should know to expand measures to try to prevent them, legal experts told Business Insider before any cases were filed.

"Foreseeability is one of the key components of liability," said Dick Hudak, a managing partner of Resort Security Consulting.

Heidi Li Feldman, a professor at Georgetown Law School, says it's "entirely feasible" that an attorney would make this argument based on the fact that mass shootings have taken place at other entertainment venues.

"If Congress isn't regulating gun ownership, it is going to be private parties ... who end up regulating their own premises," Feldman said.

The hotel industry has no national standards for security, and hotels aren't typically held accountable for guests' behavior. But if any of the hundreds of victims suing Mandalay Bay win their case, it could set a new precedent for the way hotels handle security.

How One Las Vegas ED Saved Hundreds of Lives After the Worst Mass Shooting in U.S. History
By Kevin Menes, MD, Judith Tintinalli, MD, MS and Logan Plaster ON November 3, 2017

http://epmonthly.com/article/not-heroes ... s-history/

The night that Stephen Paddock opened fire on thousands of people at a Las Vegas country music concert, nearby Sunrise Hospital received more than 200 penetrating gunshot wound victims. Dr. Kevin Menes was the attending in charge of the ED that night, and thanks to his experience supporting a local SWAT team, he’d thought ahead about how he might mobilize his department in the event of a mass casualty incident.

This is his story, as told to Judith Tintinalli, MD, MS

It's sad how quickly tragic events like this fade from public consciousness... Has there ever been an article or something that has a breakdown of what actually happened? A timeline or anything? At very least something that admits what is still unknown meshed with what is known?

I'm still waiting
Timeline of what happened that those involved in responding all agree
Explanations of what looked like gunfire from other floors actually were ( not just " some kind of blinking light )
Some kind of report on when and how Mr. successful, retired, rich nice old guy turned into perpetrator of worst mass shooting in U.S history
Some kind of indication on where he was shooting all these guns to get them ready for his attack and which of all the guns he brought were used.
explanation for strange things said by brother
Until then I still consider this some kind of false flag event.

I've never understood the "false flag" thoughts. My question is why? Mass shootings, depending on who you listen to, or what statistic you go by, happen multiple times a week to a few times a month. Why would someone use gun violence as a false flag, we practically ignore it, and "thoughts and prayers" come flying from our fingers.

I don't buy the false flag bit, just like I don't buy it for Sandy Hook or 9.11 ::shrug::

I have always considered false flag attacks as very suspicious. Historically there have been a few but the simple fact we know about them is proof that false flag attacks work only if all participants keep the secret.

That is problem secrets are tough to keep...like the old saying 3 men can keep a secret but only if 2 are dead.

I think it is fading because we are all waiting for the reports

Police have reportedly released 20 more body cam clips. I can not locate these, only short news links. If anyone can find them please post a link. There might be something useful in there.

Is it normal for a corpse to be found with arms at their side after committing suicide with a handgun in the mouth ?How does the gun end up to the side of his head ?
Paddock was on the floor south of the chair and side table. He was wearing black pants, a long sleeve brown shirt, black gloves, and grey shoes. Paddock was on his back with his head to the south, feet to the north, and arms at his sides. There was apparent blood surrounding his nose and mouth, and on the floor under his head. There was also apparent blood on the front of his shirt. A rifle was on the floor under his legs. A grey box cutter was on the floor between his feet. There were casings on the floor surrounding him. A silver/black colored "Smith & Wesson" revolver with apparent blood on it was on the floor south of Paddock's head.

Agreed that sounds funny, but I'd chalk it up to poor or efficient writing. They may have meant general positioning, as in "not above head" but the way the arms are normally positioned due to normative shoulder function.
