I strongly dislike the fact that "emergency circumstances" are being used to peel back civil rights, people have the right to refuse the search of there property. It might not be smart, but it is their right.

We are these days just trampling civil rights right and left lately.

Back on topic: Connecticut State Police have issued a new vehicle lookout alert in connection with the probe in neighboring Massachusetts: They say Boston-area authorities are looking for a 1995 gray Honda Odyssey with Massachusetts registration 93NN73. A suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing might be in that vehicle, police said.

Another damn Honda

If anyone has seen the supposed pic of the guy they caught, is the wound on his left breast/rib area supposed to be the bomb? It's just that the flesh is missing from around the wound and that doesn't make it look much like an incision where they'd spread you open to massage your heart or anything AFAIK. I didn't see anywhere else that looked odd, maybe the right shoulder but I'm no wound expert I've just watched every episode of Trauma: Life in the ER.

Tagged for info.

Also, I don't mean to detract from the tragedy of what's happened both in Boston and elsewhere, but those pictures served to remind me of something: We have a pretty damned badass LEO/military force. :awesome:

So with the door to door exigent circumstance searches, would someone be immune from prosecution for having a stash of drugs?

Interesting question. I suppose if they had a bale of dope in the middle of their living room floor then it would be okay to arrest them for it. They're looking for a person, thought, and it's my understanding that officers should only be looking in places where a person could be (i.e., not in a table drawer or a coat pocket). If officers are searching a home for an escaped convict and stumble upon a basement torture chamber with a buch of coeds chained to the walls, I think it would be inappropriate for them to say "Nope, the guy we're looking for isn't here... Have a good day, citizen!"
Holmes: "You have arms, I suppose?
Watson: "Yes, I thought it as well to take them."
Holmes: "Most certainly! Keep your revolver near you night and day, and never relax your precautions..."

Looking for a car with 4 middle eastern males traveling at a high rate of speed. Code 22 deams it suspicious.

About the drug stash, I can imagine someone just might get a free pass... depending on how much and what it is.

Damn, dude. Good thing they got the right guy....

Love the Facebook comments. Nothing like unbridled ignorance, hatred, and anti-religious bloodlust to celebrate even more killing after a bunch of killing.

I have removed the link. As far as I know, it is not confirmed that that is the body that of the older brother. For all we know, it's just some random, messed up guy. I'm not ok with the link being posted here. If you're curious, Google is that way. *points*
