food = energy

energy is needed to function. So I guess yes... If they don't eat to get energy, their body will not be able to move (simple physics) maby another sorce hmm :idea:

Even in fictional universes, zombies need to obey the laws of physics, which means they have to get the calories they burn from somewhere… either burning fat stored in the body or eating flesh. I ran an analysis of this in detail on my blog (you can download the excel spreadsheet and run your own scenarios too):

By my best estimates, the zombies will starve after 2.5 months if the spend 8 hours a day walking in search of food, or 2.5 years if they remain dormant.
