Woman shot by police was 'like a zombie'

A young woman killed by police gunfire outside a fast food outlet in Sydney looked 'possessed', witnesses say.Several triple-0 calls were made on Tuesday morning after the 22-year-old woman was spotted carrying a large knife and wandering around the Hungry Jack's carpark at West Hoxton.Witness Anabelle C'Eladoure said she called police after noticing the woman's strange behaviour.'She was very out of it, she didn't seem to know where she was.''As soon as I noticed the strange behaviour and the large knife I jumped back in my car and locked the door. I made sure my son was safe,' Ms C'Eladoure told Network Seven. -

So 911 in Australia is 000...that is good to know.

I wonder if she was mental and having an episode or if she was on some sort of drugs.

Don't know if bath salts is a big thing over hear. More than likely pure amphatamine or ice as they call it here.

If you think about putting in effort, its already too hard.

"Witness Robert Duncan from Penrith said the young woman, dressed in jeans and a T-shirt and casually sipping from a takeaway cup, ignored police calls to drop her weapon, reports.

“The woman then started moving towards them in a zombie like fashion and the police kept their guns on her and kept moving back, she came towards them wielding and swinging a knife,” Mr Duncan said.

“The woman came so close to one of the officers that he was going to be stabbed or had been stabbed and then I heard a pop sound and she went to the ground.

“She could not have been tackled, the way she was running and swinging the knife it would have been impossible to get an arm or leg shot on her … she just kept coming as if she was possessed.”"

"Ms Topic had lunged at officers outside the car park of a Hungry Jack's in West Hoxton just before midday on Tuesday, police said.

Officers had used capsicum spray and a Taser to try and subdue the woman before firing one shot, which hit her in the chest.

Police at the scene carried out CPR but she died shortly afterwards."

It's an interesting case, but sounds like some kind of drug influence. Most probably Meth or Heroin.
