Soon my precious, soon

Post by Stercutus » Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:07 pm

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/02/maga ... ation.html

I honestly can't write a better plot line than; "a renowned Serbian neuroscientist researching gene expression and cell development in ex-vivo post-mortem cerebral cortexes, financed by a shady US bio company and Yale, keeping a keeping a syringe full of a powerful anesthetic [in case his experiment revives... no really] in his lab. The lab being located in the back room of a pig slaughter house [no really...] creating a “feat” that “inaugurates a bizarre new possibility in life extension.”

Soon my precious, soon.
These days of dust
Which we've known
Will blow away with this new Son

But I'll kneel down wait for now
And I'll kneel down
Know my ground

For some reason a meme comes to mind.
Knowledge is knowing that Frankenstien was not the name of the monster. Wisdom is knowing that he was the monster.

yes
If you know who you are, you can, then know other people.

If you have faith, chaos will turn into order.

Let them hate...So long as they fear!

In the absence of light darkness will prevail

Reading between the lines; another horror story.
But there was a worst-case scenario: A partly revived post-mortem brain, trapped in a feverish nightmare, perpetually reliving the very moment of its slaughter. “Imagine the ultimate sensory-deprivation tank,” a member of the N.I.H.’s Neuroethics Working Group told me. “No inputs. No outputs. In your brain, nobody can hear you scream.”

Can you say guillotine? 17,000 - 40,000 in the French Revolution alone.

I've always said there's no such thing as "they died instantly", and that the closest thing to 'instantly' would be to have died in the fireball of a nuclear blast, vaporized in a billionth of a second. But brain time is relative, so what happens in that billionth of a second?

Read this and you'll question if a billionth of a second is even an instant!

By my calculation a billionth of a second in Earth relative time equals 20 seconds in brain relative time.
